I was spending at least 200 bucks a month on cigs. I know I have not spent that much on my gear yet and I have been vaping for about 4 months. I also only spend about 10 or so bucks on e-juice a week. Considering I was spending 7 a day on smokes. That too me is a big savings.

Trust me, it will get even easier as time goes on! Congratulations.

It's only cheaper if you don't fall down the rabbit hole of trying new mods and mechs, all premium juices, new atomizers, etc. If you find a setup you like and commit, then you will eventually come out ahead.

Fortunately, I saved so much that I was able to try a few different ones: Vamo, SVD, MVP and kicked SS Nemesis clone. Finally settled on the MVP 2.0 with Protank2 and the kicked Nemesis clone with 18350 when I need a compactness.

In the long run i believe Vaping will be cheaper then the real ones. In the beginning for most it may not be but hang in there. When i first started, which is only about a month ago i tried a lot of different types of tanks. Tried the cartomizer tanks, the duel coil bottom feed tanks, tanks with the long wicks, shoot i've probably got like 15 different tanks right now, not to mention all the different juices. So Yes the money adds up quick at first i just blew it off as, well i would have spent $220 this month buying real cigs anyway so its a wash right now. But now I have my favorite tanks that i will use always as well as my favorite Juices-so now its just buying my juice and replacement coils for my tanks. And it will Definitely be much cheaper than smoking the real ones.

it's easy for me to break even. i smoked a pack and half a day at $12.50 a pack; around $500 in a month.

Are you in NY? It's $12 to $14 per pack in the city. It was killing me, both physically and financially. I spent hundreds on juice and equipment and I'm still in the green when compared to my cigarette budget. I remember the day when cigarettes cost less the $5 per pack.

I remember when Cigarettes were $0.28 per pack and gas was $0.21 per gallon at "Price War" stations.

Just for fun I figured up my cig to vape costs. A carton of cigs is around $33. 33x52 is $1716. I spent 327.12 on vaping supplies that should last me a year add in another $30 or so for coils. It's cheaper for me to vape. The husband is still smoking so we are still putting out approx. 1716 in cig money.

I really feel for you folks paying $12 or $14 a pack for cigs. When I lived in Indiana a carton was around $55 so I really liked the Georgia cost of $35 a carton, but vaping is even better.

Here in Mississippi, about $55-60 per carton w/ tax. Wife and I used about 7 cartons per month. Bunch of bucks up in smoke. Everything I've bought amounts to less than one month of this. This includes Protanks, vamos, svds, mvps, etc. Instead of full ashtrays, we have clear lungs and equipment that should last a long, long time. We have avoided spending at least $4,000 since we started one year ago.

The savings are very significant. :D

Any suggestions for non-premium e liquid?

I found the initial cost failry high, but then again I am buying for my wife and son (22 yrs old). We ordered rebuildables attys and all the parts and a 4 month supply of eliquid so over that time we will be way ahead of smoking. Found a site that discounts on eliquid orders over 12 bottles so paying $11 a 30ml bottle. Oh ya will probably live longer now too.

As for juice, I'll take $2 per day any day over tobacco. A great price on cigs in Alberta, Canada is $88 per carton. Average price is around $96 per carton. It doesn't take long at those prices to 'get ahead' of tobacco on price alone never mind the health benefits.

I am not only glad I switched but am ahead in $$ as green as I am to vaping but feeling the health benefits would be worth a lot more.

was spending $5.62 a day on sub generic smokes.
At week #10 I broke even on all the gear and juice I purchased trying to find something that worked well for me.
I have 1 spinner left (pif'ed all the other ego/evods I purchased in the beginning)and charger for it.
2 mech mods both used when I purchased/traded for them.
1 VTR from a co-op here.
4 18650 batteries and a charger.
2 full sized protanks and 2 protank2's
2 protank minis and 2 protank mini 2's
6 protank mini clones
5 protank clones
1 Iclear30
1 Iclear30s and 5 heads
20 protank coils
and aprox 500 mg of juice I love

Now I but 2 30mls of juice per month from my favorite vendors every month. I also signed up for Zamplebox after I failed at DIY so for for less than $70 per month I am set.....that is about 12 days worth of cigarettes, even if I spend $15 on a new tank of a bunch more coils I am still spending only 1/2 the amount per month.

I could have saved a ton if I had known what juices and tanks I ended up preferring...but without the trial and error there was no way to know. I was able to trade or PIF alot of juice and the smaller egos and evods and helped others get off the smokes as well so I am happy
