There were several issues with M80 concerning temperature control actually working and delayed firing, make sure you get the updated version that is suppose to fix the initial issues. Honestly, I would wait to see if there any updated reviews before purchasing the m80.

Yeah, that's true. The place I was looking at buying it from says theirs comes preloaded with V0000006(I don't know if it was actually that many zeroes) which is the newest update for it. I watched a couple reviews of it before and after the update, and I was pretty impressed with it. They say the temp control is still a bit off, but that really doesn't concern me much, as I don't intend to be building with nickel. I just really like the price point of it. 30 more watts than the iStick for about the same price is pretty good. I'll still wait a little while and see if anything new comes up in regards to the temp control.

Off-Topic: Sweet avatar. I'm also in Northern Cali.

Well I went ahead and ordered it, against my better judgement. I'm not worried about the temperature control all that much; like I said, I just want a device I can use to really figure out what I like in a vape and that will allow me to grow into the kind of vaper I want to be, as I don't yet know what that is. I've purchased a Plume Veil clone, a bunch of kanthal, organic Japanese cotton, an ohm meter, a coil jig, and clippers in order to learn how to make coils. I have a rudimentary knowledge of Ohm's Law, I have the Steam Engine website bookmarked, as well as the app on my smartphone. I think I'm ready to get started.
