I don't care for the term either but, it just seems to be what most are calling them. I don't like the word "cookie" either (it sounds funny) but, hey that's what everyone calls them. Plus, they are VERY delicious! mmmmm coooooookie! nom nom nom nom nom nom!

"C" is for cookie and that's good enough for me!

hmmm the age old "douchey" thread is created again and still the "douchey" term is being used....

BUT that has to be the funniest/most original reply I have seen.... :D

That is all sorts of frigged up.
This...
This, I do agree with you on. The words Jar Jar and Awesome should never be used in the same sentence unless preceded by " The death of" and including "by that friggin 'uge serial crusher guy was".
Also...What are you gonna need the stupid ....... Rope for? ;)

and furthermore...I agree, we need a penguin ;) If I could use linux I would, It doesn't run my graphics applications. :(

Finally...don't forget smokey treats ;) I'll stick with analog vs vaporizer or ecig because of the distance it puts between analogs and PVs... The distance is the flavor of orange! :D

Let's just ban all words, then we won't have to worry about anything saying something someone else doesn't like and making a big deal about it.

....that idea is doubleplus ungood ;) you deserve a cookie if you catch that reference.

Eventually Big Tobacco will decide what everyone calls our "e-cigs". When they come out with theirs, and we know they will, the term they use will be what's accepted by the general public.
What will be amusing is they will put out something far more dangerous and far more addictive. They have to... They have to get more people hooked on the product and continue to supplement the medical community with their share of the profits... :D

The word "Cigarette"? I feel I should limp wrist when saying it, because that word is "Not-So-Manly" and that is not how "I roll"...

The in the UK they just call them "Fags". Maybe there is a coloration.

I am not going to say "I have to puff a ..." either.

Last time this question was poised, the drunken onset of quick replies was one of the fastest filling text I have ever seen here...
Definitely don't puff a ...!

I haven't been vaping long - but I like the terms "vaping" and "analogs" personally. I never thought of analogs referring to old vs. new or the old way to transmit versus digital - I figured it was a reference to what the devices we use are measured against in difference... you know, the "real cigarette" versus the e-cigarette.

Funny thing is that I rarely ever referred to actual cigarettes as being cigarettes - called them smokes, sticks, cigs, rollies, whatever... just never walked around saying "Hey! let me bum a cigarette..." or "I'm going to go have a cigarette". I'm sure people do, just not me over many years of smoking... so the new terms seem to work for me.

More importantly it makes a psychological distinction for me - e-cigarette just reminds me of cigarettes. Calling them "analogs", referring to what I am doing as "vaping", "fogging juice", etc all seems to help reinforce that I am doing something different and new for me... not smoking. So, I think I understand the frustration some people might feel towards these terms... but it seems a little inconsiderate to criticize the use of them, noob or not.
