Yeah it would be better than smoking. But I would have a lot of adjusting to do getting used to the cold vape asnd hardly no cloud. Lol

True, I mean after vaping my Freemax Starre, even going back to vaping my Subtank mini is a struggle.

Great thread, really makes me think and recognize how far the technology has come in only a few years. I think almost every current vaper went through a similar progression:

Gas station cigalike (phase 1, let's see what this is all about).

510 rechargeable kit (phase 2, I'm into this)

Ego battery with CE clearo (phase 3, I finally have what I need)

VV/VW Tube mod with bottom coil mass market tank (phase 4, ok, now I have what I need)

Box mod with couple of drippers and tank RTA's (phase 5, ok, now I really have what I need)

Clapton coils with depleted uranium triple twist overwrap, and Induction Furnace Inferno v7 mod, wick made of organic cotton grown on an unspoiled mountainside loving picked by Tibetan Monks (phase 6, how did I ever use any of that old crap and whoever still does is a noob, and I have the Induction Furnace Inferno v7.5 on preorder)

Etc . . .

I bought the gas station cigalike. It hit the waste bin soon thereafter. Smoked for another year. Walked into a local B&M with a great owner who listened to me and met my needs. I went to the VV/VW Tube, where I am still today.

I've since gotten a box mod & RTA (Cloudpor Mini & Lemo), but haven't really played around with them and will likely set them up for a similar experience to my VW tube (7-9W, 2ohm tootling).

Those depleted uranium coils DO sound interesting, though. I got to inhale some of that during Desert Storm...

You made the smart move. In the old days (like a few years ago) there were very few B&M shops to around lend their wisdom.

Good old depleted uranium. You a 13X or 19K?

My goal is smaller and simpler.
So yeah, the advancements ARE going "backwards" for me.

Have you tried the eroll c? I have been looking at that one for my wife. But I don't want to waste the money if it isn't good quality. She is still smoking cigarettes and I know she would prefer something that is ciglike.

Yes, I have tried it, and it wasn't that bad.
It IS good quality, and a lot of people do like it.

I didn't like it that much, because I hated filling the tanks.
But that doesn't mean much, since I would hate filling any kind of any tank.

I just like dripping.

Well, "tank" is kind of a relative term...

Have you checked out the Eroll subforum yet?
Joyetech eRoll *Mini* | E-Cigarette Forum

Here's some pictures I posted awhile back if they help any...

The second from the right is the ERoll.
To the left of that is a Reo Mini, and a 650mah Ego Twist with 510 atomizer...

I did, sort of. I took the typical cig-a-like path to egos and then variable. Ended up at the mechanical and rebuildable stage. I finally got tired of rebuilding flaky mech buttons. Went back to variable with a couple different box mods and back to store bought coils with the Nautilus. Changed from the Nautilus to a Subtank but don't see myself messing with rebuildables much any more. Still got all my gear if I get the itch though. Definitely not going back to mechanical, variable is certainly my game. May have been more of a side strep than back track.

That's what I love about vaping. 2yrs ago I found a great mech setup and thought I'd stick with it. Now I'm back to variable. Maybe in 1 or 2 years I vape mechs again. Whatever you like as long as it works for YOU.

I really think that it might just work for her. I will go to the sub forum and read up some on them. I had just seen them the other day but that was as far as my research went. Thanks for the info. Oh, and I like the candy tin doubles as a tank holder. That's a good way to keep them together.

Yeah,

This eroll is a little tank with an atomizer. It's actually like 5 pieces in total, each piece is a separate purchasable part.

I've got a few, and I do like them. I seldom use them due to con #3 mostly

I can say the vapor production is decent for the form factor and the flavor production is good for the form factor.

There are a few things I don't like.

1. It does have some seepage if laid on side
2. Battery life is poor
3. Gotta refill often so you'll want a high nic

Yeah I guess where they are so small you would have to fill them pretty often. And I didn't think the battery would last to long. But it might be enough to get her interested in vaping.....I hope. Lol

I just rebuild a Kanger EVOD head for my wife (finally she wants to try vaping again^^) and vaped on it.
I couldn't go back. Maybe a little but not to the starterkits I recommended a year ago.

Hopefully my wife will eventually get interested in it. She tried mine a few months ago but it was too much for her. I think a small low voltage device would be more her speed.
