I suspect it MAY be impossible to go backward.
Which is one of the many reasons why I don't go forward.

I'm still using the same eGo style equipment I started with almost 2 years ago (literally,) and although I recently added a new brand to the rotation, it's at the same price point. Stepping up seems intriguing to me, mostly because I'm a science nerd, but I don't want a habit to turn into a hobby.

No going back for me.

When I have to fix someones Nautilus I can't believe how hard you have to suck on them things for so little flavor.

Same thing with store bought juice. Once in a ever increasing while I buy the latest high dollar super juice with the fancy label. The best stuff is YUCK!!!! compared to the DIY trials I dump down the drain. If store bought juice buyers tried what I throw away they'd cry themselves to sleep.

No if for whatever reason I couldn't vape I'd quit everything.

How that would work is I have several years stash so I'd have several years to prepare. But I wouldn't I'd wait until the last day.

To be fair its not as if I was ever happy with that stuff to begin with. I could never in a million years stay off cigarettes with low wattage stuff but they did give me hope that something better was out there. And something better was out there.

Started with an EVOD, upgraded tank to EMOW for airflow. Upgraded to original MVP with EMOW. Upgraded to Gladius X on MVP. Upgraded to Paradigm Magma on MVP. Upgraded to Ivogo Dimitri with Magma which is my current setup. Have an Ivogo Geyser on the way for the Dimitri. Will dual coil the Magma with 2 x 2 ohm coils for 1 ohm and resurrect the MVP as a backup. That's as close to going backward as I'm willing to go. Trying to vape on a EVOD or something similar is impossible for me anymore.

I think I could go back but I would not want to 100% unless I had no choice. They don't even make some of the stuff I started with anymore LOL but I still occasionally use cig-alikes and ego bats w/evods for the feel or size. I did step backwards in a way from all of my RTAs and RDAs to smaller tanks that use blaster pack coils and away from my collection of tube style mech mods to my mech vapage bottom feeders, just easier for me.

Am not using the original ego stuff I started out with, but other
spinners and such in prettier snazzier colors instead. The fanciest
device I have is the vv4. Use disposable smaller clearos unless traveling
then I use t3s. In the past month I've dropped all flavors and am
just vaping flavorless till I get the nic down to where I want (almost
there). As mentioned above, not interested in trading a habit for a hobby,
especially one they're going after with gusto.

I "went backwards" in my vaping journey...I went through a phase of sub-ohming and it wasn't unusual for me to go through 25-30 ml of juice a day. now I pretty much only rebuild and drip at 1.2-1.8 ohms. I use about 5 ml a day now.

Yeah I heard that really goes through the juice. Was it hard to get used to going back to a cooler vape experience?

Every time I've picked up one of my older devices, I've been disappointed.

But, I am wondering if sub-ohming really is the future. The shops all seem to be pushing high wattage devices and sub-ohm tanks or RBA's. They sell a lot of juice. That where I am after disposables, automatics, manuals, 2 x Vamo's, a DNA30 clone, Cloupor Mini and an SX Mini M-class.

Maybe TC keeps it going forward. Who knows where it's going? It's a completely new scene every 6 months. If you can go that long without an upgrade, then you're guaranteed to get improved performance.

If those shops relied on me they would be in trouble. Lol

I haven't upgraded in about a year thats why I am having battery trouble on my primary device. I agree about the sub-ohming trend. It does seem like a sweet setup for the brick and mortar stores to sell a lot of juice. I have a coworker that just upgraded to a better device and now he is sub-ohming.

I agree with the diy stuff completely. I'm not saying that there's not good quality stuff out there, but you can save a ton of money diy. And it's fun once you get the hang of it.

it wasn't too bad...I upped my nic a little to get more throat hit. I still keep an RDA around built to .4 to use occasionally, but only when my daughter says, "Cwouds dada" (she's two) lol.

My vaping journey...

I started with a NJoy cigalike about 4 and a half years ago. After less than one month it became disgusting, but when I first tried it it made me quit smoking immediately. Then, I used the X Power for a while. Then, a Lavatube from the very first version (supposed to replace the expensive Provari) that I had to pre-order. Then, the Young June's version of the Lavatube, which I still think is a great vape and is still perfectly functional (the first Lavatube is functional too). Then, the Tesla. Then, a Vamo V5 that someone at UKV sent me as a gift. Now, I ordered a Cloupor Mini 30 w from FT. I don't thinkj I need to go deep into sub-ohming and I don't have the patience to build and rebuild, so I guess I'm quite ok as I am.

As for other gear, although I have tried other stuff and have some other stuff, my best vape is still the classic standard Boges, something I'm sure a lot of newer vapers don't even recognize by the name. But, quite frankly, Boges just work - good flavour, good temperature, good enough TH, good enough vapour, what else do I need? Is it too much of an hassle that I have to refill them? Nope, I'm used to them and I like to switch flavours. So used in fact that I found only the first time is boring. Subsequent refills are easy and, depending on the juice and the dropper, I may add like 7 or 15 or even 20 drops at a time, which is hardly patience consuming.

Regarding liquids, well, I didn't know anything about liquids when I started. I used to like Dekang, now all Dekangs taste basically the same and that is to say nothing special really. I guess I developed some more expensive tastes and I never forget juices are the butter on the bread. Not that I pay for overly expensive liquids such as Five Pawns, for instance... Maybe when I'm rich.

In the meantime, I had an online shop which is now gone.

That's it. :)

EDIT: Oh, and I've been vaping 12mg for ages (the best mg for flavour in my opinion) but I know that relates to the way I vape.

No I don't think I could go all the way back to the 3.4v eGo-T, but I switched to mechanicals in a month. That was back when 2 ohms was considered "low resistance". Well, believe it or not, I've been vaping a 2 ohm coil on that same mechanical all morning.

my whole vape journey was a backward then forward journey.

the guy that hooked us up (friend of friend) my first vape was a Nemi/Russian. then I couldn't figure the darn thing out..and knew enough to be dangerous..backed off to those lil Aspire tanks to Protank IIs and eGo's, then up again to the vv/aerotanks, them MPV's tried Nauti's then Kangers line of products to what I'm at now iStick 30s (and 2 20s) megas and Kayfun v4s.

I've only been vaping for 2 months. My sister in law gave me a 20w istick with a nautilus mini. I vaped that for a month then switched to a 30w istick with an atlantis v2. I keep telling myself that im perfectly happy with stopping here, but we'll see. I really do like this setup, it suits my lifestyle with two young children and working all the time. Don't think I'll ever go to dripping.

I have a 3 year old as well, My main reason for quitting smoking, when your 3 year old says "i want to smoke" that was it for me..... and i also work sales so i cant be carrying around a dripper either, although the more i read about it the more i want to try it as like an at home thing, im just afraid if i try it its going to be so much better and im not going to want to go back to my tank lol.
