I've only been vaping for 2 months. My sister in law gave me a 20w istick with a nautilus mini. I vaped that for a month then switched to a 30w istick with an atlantis v2. I keep telling myself that im perfectly happy with stopping here, but we'll see. I really do like this setup, it suits my lifestyle with two young children and working all the time. Don't think I'll ever go to dripping.
good luck that's what I said :) the flavour really is very good in a dripper but I had to drop my nic level from 18 to 3 mg

I have a 3 year old as well, My main reason for quitting smoking, when your 3 year old says "i want to smoke" that was it for me..... and i also work sales so i cant be carrying around a dripper either, although the more i read about it the more i want to try it as like an at home thing, im just afraid if i try it its going to be so much better and im not going to want to go back to my tank lol.

I have a 9 month old and 8 year old and my oldest is proud of me for laying down the ciggys. I am curious too, but time is at a premium in my household! Congrats on quitting smoking!

I have been vaping 3.5 months the dripper gives much stronger flavour in my opinion but I only use it now and then I had to drop my nic level from 18 to 3 to use the dripper though my all day stick it in my pocket is an Istick 30 watt and a nautilaus mini perhaps the sub ohm tank things give flavour plus I don't know haven't used them I use my dripper on an Istick 50 watt

I switched to a sub-ohm on my istick 30w and it made a huge difference. I was using a nautilus.

Dripping is good if you get something with a deep well so you can get more than 2 puffs on it. And the flavor is better. I have a magma clone and it holds alot of juice but it can still leak if you put it on its side.

My Vaping journey is actually longer then i think sometimes...

I started off most like everyone else, with the small crappy throw away gas station ecigs. Needless to say just like for most people it did not work at all for me, not strong enough, not enough vapor production, and i was Smoking cigs in between using them... Was a short lived adventure and i was back smoking.

Next step was the "rechargeable" throw away e cigs from a tobacco shop, once again same thing didn't work not enough smoke not satisfying, started smoking again.

I got to a point again were i wanted to stop, as did my girlfriend. At this time i became aware of more high end vaping devices, but my girlfriend and i both agreed that we though it looked so stupid and made fun of all the fruity flavors. So we did a little more research and ended up buying the V2 starter kit since they had a button to get more vape. These worked a little bit better, but once again got to the point that it did not satisfy and went back to smoking.

Last Christmas i broke down and went to a vape shop in the mall. I ended up leaving with an aspire nautilus mini for me, a kanger protank 2 for her, and two aspire EGO batteries and some ejuice. This was much better and worked a little bit longer, but i went through some really stressful times and went back to smoking.

I gave them another shot to too much later, at this point i actually started doing some research (I went into the vape shop clueless and just bought whatever the guy sold me the last time.) after a few days i decided i wanted a real vaping device so i went out and bought my first box mod (istick 50W) and the atlantis tank. And ive been vaping that ever since! I had a few moments of weakness but for the most part ive been free of cigs.

To answer the original question though would be a yes and a no for me. When it comes to batteries i will never ever be able to go back to twist on batteries, i will always have a box mod from here on out. BUT when it comes to tanks i can go back and use my nautalus mini. I have found the best setup that works for me is keeping my Atlantis and Mini on me at all times. In the Atlantis i always keep a higher vg with lower nic 3-6 max, then i have my Mini which i fill up with 6-11 nic and i alternate between them all day. I find if i start vaping one thing too long i loose interest. Also if im having a bad nic fit i can take of my atlantis and easily switch over to higher nic.

One last thing. Its funny how i used to make fun of how people looked smoking these big devices and fruity flavors when ultimately is was just what i needed to quit (love fruity flavors)

I think those gas station ecigs are only good for letting you know if you can are allergic to pg or VG. Lol And that's the sad part. I think if they where the same price but higher quality more people would be vaping. Some people are put off by paying $50.00 for a good setup just to see if vaping would help them to quit smoking.

I just wanted enough to keep me off the cigarettes. In late 2009, I tried those first-generation cigalikes. Good idea, but not impressed. Later, I tried the pen-style. Better, but not enough. Then the 510s, and I didn't really like those at all--everything tasted burnt to me. Fast-forward to 2013, I had read the eGos were "the thing". So, I got a starter kit, and I did indeed quit smoking. But after about 6 weeks, I could feel myself faltering, so I did a lot of reading here, and within a couple of weeks ordered a Proveri 2.5. I thought it was amazing. Just after that, I also began to DIY. Last year, I also bought three SIDS on sale, two of which were for gifts, the other because I wanted to try it myself. They were okay, but not the same smooth vape as a Provari, and they don't hold up well. All three conked out within less than a year.

Last year, I bought another Provari 2.5 for a backup (which has never been used yet) and just recently bought the Provari Classic 2015 (for the variable wattage factor), which I am using now. I compared the Classic with the P3, and I chose the Classic over the P3 for several reasons:

1. I have no intention of going lower than 1 ohm, so I wouldn't use the 0.5 ohm or whatever is the lowest at which the P3 will fire. I think the Classic will fire at 0.9 ohms, but I use mostly 1.8 ohm coils, so that's not a factor.

2. Button colors--the Classic has a couple less button colors than the P3, but that's also not a factor for me. As long as it blinks to warn me the battery is getting weak, I don't really care about button colors.

3. I liked the teardop design of the Classic more than the plain design of the P3 with the logo.

4. The Classic was less expensive than the P3.

Really the only reason I ordered the Classic was for the VW feature. And since my other two were only standard size, it's nice to have an all-in-one size now (mini, standard, extended).

BUT, since I've bumped up the watts to 8.8 (DON'T LAUGH!), I've noticed I use more juice now. I can't imagine you guys who sub-ohm and use so much e-liquid every day. I can live without that, thanks! This is keeping me off cigarettes, and I'm very happy and still amazed it works. On July 2nd, I'll be smoke-free for two years, YAY!

I actually just went back in time today. I inherited a 20w istick from a friend and fell in love with the size, but since those things don't regulate power at lower settings, I was really only using it on the lowest settings with my EMOW's and mini nautilus'. But after a few months of that, I picked up the 50w version today (and almost a subtank, but another time lol) and since the power issues are fixed on the 50 I pulled out my protank 2's that would just melt on the 20. And the taste is a little off obviously, but ...., for some reason a hit on that is more satisfying in terms of nicotine fix. I can take a few puffs and put it down for awhile. And I forgot how economical they are on juice. I missed those little ....s.

I have to apologise to everyone, I made a statement that I could never go backwards, it's kind of a daft statement, although I would prefer not to as I enjoy my new tanks so much, I could quite happily vape on my old Nautilus Mini if I had too, it has to be better than smoking.

Congratulations on being smoke free 2 years. And it sure does use the juice the higher you go in the voltage. I haven't done any sub ohming but I imagine it really goes through the juice.

Yeah it would be better than smoking. But I would have a lot of adjusting to do getting used to the cold vape asnd hardly no cloud. Lol

There's no way I could go backward, but I have hit my peak of vaping happiness. I have a couple isticks, mvp, and the new evic vt. I don't need more than 17 watts to get my perfect vape on my subtanks. I need 30 watts to run my tct tank, which is great, but not necessary to me. I'm just as happy with my vape from a little istick, as I am my evic vt. In fact, I have that little cool fire 4 on the way, because it's just what I need.

So no, I couldn't go backwards, but I definitely don't need to go forward anymore. I'll hit my gfs/my old vision spinner occasionally and it still does the trick, but I couldn't make it my everyday simply because it won't run subohm tanks.

Starting October 2014
1 week: Pen style refillable
5 weeks: Nautilus mini
8 weeks: Atlantis
2 weeks: Nautlis mini
12 weeks: Kanger sub mini with RTA
3 weeks: Achilles and Tugboat v2 drippers

I don't use the N mini any more because I like a fresh wick every 7-10 ml and the coil heads are too expensive for that. I stopped using the Atlantis because I prefer mouth to lung inhales. I stopped using the Kanger sub mini because it's tall in my pocket compared to the drippers and more time consuming to rebuild than a dripper. (But I will recommend any of those for people getting started. I don't regret any of those purchases.)

Currently I'm obsessed with the Achilles clone dripper because the taste and vapor quality are as good or better than any of my other atomizers, and it will will hold several ml of liquid without a trace of leaking.

My power supplies include a vision spinner 2 (in reserve at work), IPV 2s (used at home), and an Istick 50 (for out and about). I'm going to have a mechanical (probably a copper SMPL)and a mod with temp control and make sure I'm comfortable using them. My coils are 1-2 ohms. My power setting is almost always between 16-20 watts. DIY is on the road map.

The wording we use is exactly what marketing people love. Instead of just "different", various types of vaping have been relegated to "old", "starter", "beginner" and at least here on ECF, "crappy". They are constantly pushing different devices, and many of us willingly believe they are the "next step".

As long as you're able to keep off cigarettes, you have a perfect setup regardless, IMO.
