it is always nice to see a post about success with a geni as usually all we see are the help me posts, glad its working for you and enjoy it! when it finally works right it suddenly sinks in why everyone is willing to go through the headaches at first.
i have no comment on the knockoffs but sure someone will.

VAPE ON!!!!

Congrats. Great to see a success post. The Chobra is a nice knock off. I have one I use a lot.

i agree i wouldnt be nowhere near as deep into this stuff without ecf. sometimes while digging around i run into my old V2 kit and think how far i came in about a year because of this place and how much my vaping experience has improved along the way.
Damn thrasher, join date Oct 2012 with 2600 posts. Thats some serious work. Just be glad you didn't suffer through cartridges (not cartos) with a tiny atty. When i started, we all had cig looking devices (kr808 anyone?) and cartos were just coming around. If I had any of that $ trying SC, DC, boge, smoketek, v4l, all the others that fill my empty shoeboxes that I cannot remember. Edit-oh you said V2! So you messed around with the same garbage. Don't feel bad we all did, and we all googled that first POS, found ecf and started making strides.

After the initial regret wore off due to the $ we just wasted:D

No thanks, I have a bunch of V2 stuff around too. I sometimes use an old V2 battery, with a 808/510 adapter, as a tool. I used to use it for pulling tubes off of CE2s and CE3s for cleaning. I didn't like screwing clearos on my Provari and yanking on them. I think I have some boxes of "vintage" V2 menthol cartos somewhere too. Nearly 2 years old. I wonder if they're still good?

Since we're having our own little classies here...

I have for sale a gently used (very gently) safe cig kit, consisting of two batteries and charger with 5 delicious prefilled tobacco carts. Retails for $99.99 usd currently asking $2 (if you will pay for shipping).

And many different color kr808 batteries with an abundance of assorted color cartos (cause they're cool) with a pcc. These batteries will last you a whopping 90 minutes of vaping bliss! Be the life of the party when your friends ask you where you got that smokin black device with a lime green carto! And blue led at the tip! This thing sells itself! Currently sold out out nationwide, send PM for pricing details.

And don't forget...each carto equals 2 packs of cigarettes (biggest lie in the ecig business)

even worse my first attempt was with the old 3 piece battery, cartridge, atty style sheesh how anybody put up with those i dont know, 2 weeks later i was smoking again, then last march i was looking for info about some cigalike at the local gas station and it kept linking me here, so i poked around a bit while puffing on a 808 with a mini clearo, and went WOW look at this stuff lol. then an ego, a bolt. a twist, a spinner, a vamo, some other crap i cant remember then finally a provari.
then comes the next crazy step. carto's, atty's, clearo's, a nova and 30 other nova/clearo style tanks, (god i have a box here with about every cheap rebuildable tank and clearo they make lol). couple of phoenix clones and drippers, then a geni and pretty happy now so im like 90% done playing.

been lurking almost a year when i finally wanted to answer a question so i joined. and the post count is easy especially when you get into one of those multi page threads or stuck helping someone through something. it builds up fast.

I wish I had a nickel for every time I've said "This is it. I'm done playing". My problem has always been that I've over-bought everything. Especially in a hobby where new stuff has come out weekly, and the old stuff becomes obsolete. I still have 3 or 4 boxes of old 808 stainless steel CE2s. Several boxes of just about every version of clear CE2s, some with the old "bow tie" wicks. 1st version Vision Extremes, clear LR cartos, 3 piece set-ups. On and on. If somebody starts an ecig museum, I have stuff to donate.

I started with the eGo cig-style batteries with the tiny atomizer and cartridges, circa January 2011. Then it was the eGo (650mAh, maybe?) big battery with early cartos, then KR808 stuff with a bunch of tiny batteries and cartos, both vertical and later horizontal-coil, then back to eGo big batteries with clearos and adapted 808 stuff, dripping atomizers for quite a while, then finally a Provari. On to every type clearomizer made (almost), ViviNovas recently, and now on to RBA in the form of AGA-T2. I feel like I'm done playing for a while, but it's probably only a matter of time.

Yeah, if they open that vape museum, I've got a good load of boxes full of stuff to display.

I was at a B&M store grand opening a few weeks ago, and everybody got a little goodie bag. One of the items in mine was a mini 901 kit, where the box doubled as the battery charger. I had to try it. Little 3 piece set up, with prefilled menthol cartridges and 1 atomizer. I thought "How did we ever continue on, after vaping these things?"
