You will understand when you will see penelope klepto. But I have more to show you for Ithaka than what you will see on penelope. Just wait buddy

Ohh forgot the penny. In all my hype about jgg :)

So what will come first? Penelope or ithaka upgrade?

No doubt i want the penny also. Only 14500 mod i have is a gp piccolo v3, but the button switch is really bad, and cant be locked. So protus is very welcome to :)

Not to sound negative, but swelling is bad in the case of any type of seal not designed for this type of reaction. With o-rings they should be properly sized for a specific application, not grown into it. The swelling a sign of interior deterioration that will ultimately lead to the seals failure.

I can see your point but it works for me. I've had my V1 UFS almost 2 years and never had to replace an o-ring and it gets vasoline every time it is cleaned. Even if the swelling shortens the life of an oring for me the benefits outweigh the negatives. Lubing o-rings with vasoline prevents parts from seizing and helps prevent leaking. And they are cheap to replace at .04-.08 a piece.

No worries, I just wanted to put out there that there was a product specifically designed for use on o-rings. More information is better than less, and isn't that what forums are for? :)

Ohh I agree completely. Also if there is one thing I have learned about vaping there is no right or wrong way to do it. Except what's right for you. That being said I just placed an order for the silicone lubricant you recommended to try. I just wanted to post my expierence so people that might be squeemish trying an unknown product know that vasoline does work and work well. And while it might not be the normal recommended lubricant for o-rings it also won't likely destroy them over night.

That Silicone grease is some great stuff, just remember to use in moderation. A little tiny bit goes a long way. I just touch the very tip of my finger in it to get enough to apply, and the 1/2 fl oz tub I have is 3 years old and I haven't used but 1/4 of it.

Its kindda tacky, like auto grease, so it sticks to whatever you use it on and stays put.

However, I dont know how it will work on the metal threads. I hear alot of people put Vaseline on their threads to prevent seizing. I haven't had that issue, so I haven't tried it.

Is this always the case? I've noticed some swelling, just got o-rings recently.

I never like to say "Always" but in most cases a swollen o-ring is destined to fail eventually. Now, you also should consider the importance of a particular o-ring. Imeo has stated that some o-rings aren't required, but others clearly are having issues, so the importance of your particular o-ring is subjective and can only be determined by you. :)

What do you have coming into contact with them? Some juices like Pluid, are know to damage both plastic and o-rings.

As I have said before my ithaka did leak nothing major just a bead of liquid on the side every now and again so I overly applied Vaseline to the orings and threads put a tank of liquid in it and left it to rest so the orings would swell and the Vaseline would lubricate and would help the threads by water proofing and I can hand on heart say that it has not leaked once and still has the same tank of liquid in it since I tried this about 3 or so weeks ago maybe I have not used it too much as it's sat in my cupboard waiting for my just gg but time will tell I find it upsetting that Yankee has had so much trouble he is a true gg loyalist and from what I've seen in the short conversations I've had a great and helpful guy I hope imeo finds a solution for him as customers like him are what will make gg stay the brand it is with new and old btw Yankee is the reason I bought a just gg which goes to prove it

Thats why I insist on Yankee and jojobo Fish. I cant affort loosing serious people.
I told him what he has to do about o-rings to stop leakage and he will do as I told him. His problems will disappear immediately

Oh yes. So there is going to be a New Penelope? Sorry coming into this forum a little late. I love my penny and Ithaka, might have to grab another Ithaka pretty soon. Two ithakas on my two new Just GGs that should be in my mail box tomorrow. Can't wait, thank you so much for everything Imeo and Bruce.
