So I squeezed em closer together and it definitely made a little more vapor. Not much more considering the fact that it's at .53 ohms. I don't usually go this low anyways, just thought I'd try it out. The vape is substantially a lot warmer which isn't for me. Here's a picture just in case anyone wants to point out if I did anything wrong...

Is that doubled up on top for both wicks? Possibly too much wick on top not allowing enough air to pass from the centerpost air hole.

Yeah it's doubled up. Totally forgot about that. I just figured to do it this way because it usually wicks better when I double up. I'll Have to try singles out when I rebuild it soon. It doesn't bother me that much because IT IS producing a good amount of vapor, just not as much as I expected since it has such a low resistance. Again, I'm not used to building my ithaka coils parallel to each other so bare with me

I found the vape to produce less vapor and a "harsher" TH, and less vapor. I don't vape silica in parallel because of this reason.
I X My silica (doubled up) when I use silica. I even X my cotton (doubled up) when I do cotton. The air is forced into toe coil head on as opposed to letting some graze.
Think taking genesis style and turning the air hole off center here if you've ever used gennies).
The only parallel I do is a triple wick cotton. But that's because the triple closes the gap even more.

Hey Yankee, when you use cotton in the ithaka, are you using cotton yarn like peaches n cream?
How do you do set up triple wick? I'm guessing 2 extra wick up top both cut at the sides with the bottom going down the channel?
Exactly. Take 3. Use a straightened out paperclip. Wrap your coil and then remove. Once clip is removed you'll have enough took left for when the cotton swells.
What you can start with is 2 for X, 3 for parallel. Tweak as you need. Cotton swells. And it's flimsy so clip allows space and stability when coiling.

I asked the same question a few days ago here. These guys told me the exact same thing and it worked great!

Just throwing this question since overall length of a mod+atty is a major factor for me when I am outdoors. That's why the ggts+Ithaka always stays at my desk and I prefer oddy/penelope + stealth when I am outdoors.
Am I alone wishing there was a way for Ithaka to be used without aircontrol?

I actually do. The air control changes pressure. I find adjusting the air as the tank level changes also adjusts it's overall vape.
I used to leave it full open and then jo and I had some testing and found the experience even better.
I recommend to all to try playing with the AC ring. It's there for a reason.

That's something I hadn't even considered. A while ago, when I was still using gennies, I always drilled out the air holes for a better vape. So your saying that when the tank fluid level goes down.. Close it a bit? I can't quite grasp how that would do anything but tighten the draw? :what::what:
