:p

Where did you hear that? that would be awesome to be able to use the dna 40's temp control on the Atlantis.

Oh really? thats nice, in that case i will consider it if the magnet is strong like you say.

i really will consider that Sigeli though because im so used to the cylindrical design on my mods :vapor:

Not sure the best price on Sigeli 100watt is. MFS will have a black Friday sale selling them for 79.76

Yep that is the case more air = less juice = less flavor

Which doesn't really make sense to me since you need more juice to get more clouds so how does that work? The clouds can't be magically coming from something other then the Ejuice getting vaporized

thanks for the recommendations. However i feel like im not really going to need anything that goes past 50watts for the Atlantis. and usually more watts = more $$$

On that Dna40 box or the IPV2, how easy is it to change batteries? I wouldn't mind trying a box mod for the first time, however i dont want to have to unscrew something every time i want to change the battery :< Or can i charge the battery while its in the box?

With the IPV 2 you can charge it via USB. My main reason for wanting one over a 100+ watt mod.

How does one know when it's time to change a coil in something like this? I got into rebuilding pretty quickly, and gave all my clearomizers away before it ever became an issue or something I was familiar with.

(Sorry for the echo - I asked this question earlier, but it was at the end of a post, and I think it got lost in the discussion).

I saw your previous post Thrown, sorry I forgot to answer after I had responded to the previous poster.

You'll know when it's time to change a coil by either a reduction in flavor or vapor, or a combination of both. It's a simple as that. You might also get a slight burnt flavor. Having a coil completely fail and stop producing vapor is rare and you'll notice long before that point normally.

As you use a particular device for a longer while, you'll start to recognize the symptoms of a failing coil earlier and earlier.

With a lot of clearos, you can clean them by a simple rinse under the hot tap and an occasional dry burn (youtube dryburn + name of clearo you are using for thousands of vids), but I am not sure the best method for cleaning these coil heads.

Do not bother trying to clean the BVC coils just replace them as soon as water touches the filler it ruins the taste u will get

That's interesting, are these listed as ceramic wool, cotton or are they just like a carto batting inside? I saw a video of Dimitris taking one apart but it was very hard to tell what it was.

No worries! This is one a quick Google search probably could have answered for me...

I guess I'll just have to trust the ol' taste-buds. I used to pull my battery out of my mech several times a day to check the level, but before too long I was able to sense when it was starting to reach its limit. I reckon I'll develop the same ability with replaceable coils.

I don't know but I've tried to rinse with water and soak in vodka both results ended up with killing flavor and vapor production they are meant to be disposed of anyway after about 4-7 days of use in my experience.

Don't feel bad I paid 56$ with tax and shipping from Aspire and its says 8-20 days shipping time.

Yesterday I found a thread with someone that ordered one from 101vapes for 35$ on Monday and it arrived Wednesday. So I ordered a second.
Still curious if should pick up there sub ohm mod or the other cf battery . Not much info on either.
Sure they'll run fine on my other devices. Interested what there mod is all about Tho....

Picked up an Atlantis today. First impressions are good but I'm using it with a mech at the moment so the vape is a little to cool for me. (apparently I have a .2 ohm build on my Magma ) That being said, vapor production is great and flavor is decent. I'd say flavor is on par with my RSST tanks. We'll see how much that improves when I finally get a box mod.

The thing that most impresses me is how it wicks without leaking or gurgling. It's a freaking clearomizer... I can't even fathom how they pulled it off but it wicks perfectly.

If it gives me a little warmer vape and a bit more flavor once I get some real power into it could easily replace my Magma as my all day device.

It's not bad at all on a mech when the battery is just off the charger. That's a 35watt vape. Trouble with a mech is that will go downhill quickly as the battery drains and the vape will be much less satisfying. On a regulated mod anywhere from 35 to 45 watts this is great and each hit will be perfect. The new Aspire CF Mod and the CF Sub Ohm mod will regulate at 35watts throughout the battery charge, so they deliver a surprisingly good vape for a cheap mod. If you don't have a regulated mod they are a good cheap mod to try. Those mods are also great for your RDA's down to .3 ohm and will deliver the same vape as a mech which is 58.8 watts at 4.2v, but no battery drop off since they regulate as a freshly charged battery during the entire charge of the battery until depleted and need a recharge. GrimmGreen said he vaped a .2 RDA in his video, but he never showed it on an ohm meter. The CF Mod specs say down to .3, so I'm not sure it actually did .2 like Grimm said. The inexpensive mods are every bit as surprising as the Atlantis tank. Well worth the money if you don't have a regulated mod capable of 35watts.

Given the way I've been vaping my Magma I'm guessing I would need to pump more than 45 watts into it.

I just got one of these yesterday at my local B&M. I paid 40 bucks, so I guess that's not too bad. After vaping all night and all day, I think this tank is the best tank ever. The coils are only .5 ohms, so it won't work on my Provari or other regulated mods except for my ZNA. At 25 watts on the ZNA, it produces big clouds. I would even say it produces as much vapor as my Patriot dripper with a .15 ohm coil. If I use the large vent hole, it gives a cool huge cloud. And I mean huge. With the smaller hole, it produces less vapor, but a much warmer hit. It also works great on my 26650 mech and my 18650 mech.

If there is a downside to this unit. I would have to say its the smallish tank. It only holds 3 mls of juice, so it doesn't last that long. But it's still a lot better than a dripper, and it's a hell of a lot easier since I don't have to build a coil ot chant the cotton. Just unscrew the old coil and screw in a new coil and it's good to go.

The answer to that would be yes and no. On a fresh battery the first few hits at .2ohm would be 88watts, but very, very quickly that will drop. Certainly within 10 hits, and it will continue to drop from there. But you have an RDA so you could choose to build at .3ohms if you want. That would be your choice. Then the CF SUB OHM would certainly out perform your mech. And if Grimm is right and it actually can do .2, then the SUB Ohm mod will outperform your mech at your current build. I tend to believe the Aspire specs that say lowest resistance is 0.3. But it's your vape so do what suits you best.

But back to the subject at hand, which is the Atlantis. The new cheap Aspire mods will outperform your mech quite handily. And that's assuming you have no voltage drop at all in your mech. I'm not taking a shot a mechs, I own plenty and enjoy them too. It's just regulated mods have come that far, and now come that cheaply. Good for us, we all win.
