Another one of these thread. Ok! Im game! Even if the guy weren't blowing clouds, you seem bothered by the fact he even had it in his hand~ out in the open.

I'm sorry but if I want to carry mine with me I will. There is no hard law that states vape gear must be left in a vehicle hidden from view while out 'n about.

I'm having a hard time understanding the scary thoughts people are having that says we have to act like sneaks (that's the impression I get).

This guy would've blown vapor anywhere; not just in the store you happen to be in.

Also when you say "those people" please keep in mind that ECF is but a tiny portion of the vaping community & he probably doesn't have a clue about legislation.

Educate rather than be offended.
I'm not at all offended that he was carrying it, nor that he was blowing clouds in the store- I thought it was cool personally, but not everyone feels that way, I'm sure. Not everyone knows what vaping is, it just looks like smoking so it *must* be bad. I had no issue walking through a clouud to get to the cheerios, but some would. It's called respect for others. I would never vape anywhere that smoking was frowned upon, but in theory I *could* walk through the store carrying a pack of marlboros in one hand and an unlit one in my mouth. Not that I *EVER* would, but I could if I so desired. Some may be offended by that.

I just think it's hilarious, because nothing said in any of these ubiquitous and interminable debates is going to affect whether or not I vape in any given situation -- it's ALLLLL situational. And it's kinda fun to watch folks start to froth at the keyboard about it.

All I'm really trying to say, is just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. Outside- Go for it! Maybe it will cover up some of the stench from the smokers! In your car? Do as you please! In your house (or someone who has given you permission's house) Vape away! In areas that allow smoking? Please do! In stores? Maybe use some descretion, maybe don't fog out a 5 foot radius just because you can. Maybe wait until there is no other shoppers close by. The person in question was obvoiusly not a smoker (maybe not even born yet) when smoking was allowed in stores, so why the need to vape? Can't it wait? I was born in 92, long after (the majority) of stores were smoke free. Smoking in restaurants was still the norm, but there were non smoking sections (not that it made any difference!) I vape in our house, even though nobody ever smoked inside, and in my car, and outside. I've vaped in non smoking places, but not when anyone was around to know, and no smell was left behind, nor was any ash, or cigarette burns on the rug. Chances of anyone ever knowing I vaped- zero. I could, in theory, stamp out a cigarette on the door frame on the way into a store, stick it back in my mouth after putting it out and suck on it all the way through the store! That would likely offend many, especially non smokers, because it stinks, even if there is no smoke, so I'm not smoking in the store. I NEVER have and NEVER will, even though I can. If I never pick up another cigarette it will be too soon, they are disgusting.

I vape in a few stores but I know the managers/owners and they do not mind. I'm also as discrete as needed.

I wouldn't vape in a grocery store or restaurant just because I wouldn't want someone's steamy moist breath settling on my foodstuffs.

They already do just that. vapor just gives you a visual representation of this fact..

Why thank you, what a lovely thing to say! :D I've been unable to refrain from thinking for myself since probably, hmm... my mid-20s I guess -- probably right around the time I determined that my ex-husband was not in fact my daddy, and I didn't have to live my life in every detail as he thought fit. :D What a liberation that was! :D

That guy blowing clouds in a store is not going to ruin if for us. The players in this do not care about Joe and Mary shopper and their screaming kid in the cart, nor do they care about you and you opinions on Jerry Cloud Blower.

Wake up man, follow the money, none of this "public opinion crap" matters. The only thing the players care about is the thing in the sigs of 7 out of 10 people here. X amount of dollars not spent on Taxable Tobacco, but spent on ecigs, vapemail and "the juice" chasing.

The end.

I work as an EMT and the other day we pick up this asthmatic having a severe attack. We're driving him to the hospital and he's all like "I can't breath! I'm gonna die." So anyways, it was a tense situation so I pulled out my mod and filled the back of the ambulance with a nice, mellow fog and this guy starts screaming "Stop! I can't breath already" I'm like "Dude, it's not smoke, it's vapor. Here, I'll blow some in your oxygen mask and you'll see" Well, he passes out and went into cardiac arrest. What a wang. So I put down my mod and hit him with the defibrillator and he was fine. When he woke up he wanted to sue me. He called my boss and said I was smoking in the ambulance. What a jerk.

In most white collar environs, company policy on perfumes/aftershaves usually revolves around a 'scent circle' - that is, an aftershave, etc., shouldn't be noticeable more than about an arm's length in any direction. About the same area as 'personal space' is usually defined. It's a sensible policy and it's a successful policy. I think it would be nice if vapers would adopt a similar policy and respect other people's personal space by keeping their vapor and 'scent circle' to themselves. Other than that, I could care less where people vape.

I guess it boils down to respect and common sense. If you vape in a disco where you are not really allowed to smoke (because there is a smoking room there) I would say.. yeah.. whatever. If you would do it at a kinder garden, hospital or even a grocerie store. I'd say, use your common sense and don't be a dick.

I personally don't mind, but we live on this planet together and not everybody likes it. I always like to think about the following example: I respect my neighbors, by not playing my music to loud especially on the wrong times. But they also have to respect that sometimes i do put my music on loud. Both sides have to give in sometimes. Sometimes i get annoyed of you and sometimes i annoy you. That's life.

Not sure that I want to buy food that someones exhalation vapor had settled on. Wouldn't the vapor carry any germy things the person exhaled?

Are you assuming that just because someone exhales while not vaping, ie you can't see it, that their exhale is not settling on your food?
