Figures... Just as I pretty much had my mind made up to bite the bullet and finally get a Reo, I run across this thread. Really digging the woodvils, but not sure i can wait til around Christmas to finally purchase one.
Yea, I know, boo-freakin-hoo, just get one now and get another when these are finally ready. I just really prefer the wood to the aluminum.

The last few sales of Woodvil's, Woodvil 18490's, and Mini Woodvils sold from $150-$170. The more exotic woods costing more.

This might or might not be close to the price of this upcoming run.

Sooo... i'm guessing Robert will correctly raise the price this time around.

Since i'm rather simple-minded, let's say $200 just to use a round number. Hmmm...

So.... $200 * 300 Woodvils = InaHeartBeat

just in case...

$300 * 300 Woodvils = doable...

Dang, i wish Robert took pre-orders :)

My very first wood REO 3/11 cost $150. The last wood REO (new) 2/12cost $150. Might be time for a price increase, might not!

With the looming Woodvil release coming, I was wondering if there are any concerns about the brass catch cup?

As I understand it, brass contains some amount of lead, and eliquid can react chemically with brass, releasing unwanted things into the juice to be atomized. At least, this is the suggested case with brass tanks and why, generally, they aren't commonly used. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Also, is the brass finished RM2 only brass on the outside, retaining it's stainless finish on the inside?

Sorry for the scary questions, but I wanted to ask before I try to buy a Woodvil.

The suspense is killing me!!! :D
I need to see what kind of wood we'll have to choose from. Rob, throw us a bone man!!! ;-)

I usually like the darker wood tones, leaning more towards the red scale. However, while looking for a sweet drip tip for my first Reo (en route), I ran across this little number:

Never even heard of Buckeye Burl before, but me likey. Hopefully Rob has some of that in the works for an 18650 woodvil with my name on it.
