"The stabilizing process uses a vacuum to remove all the air from the wood, replacing it with a heat activated resin that in turn forms a polymer. Additionally, resin of different colors and shades can be used to create various effects. When colored resin penetrates wood, it results in unique coloring of the wood, artistically highlighting splendid natural grain figures."

Its from the internet so it must be true.

Just to add "stabilized does not mean unbreakable."

Nothing man made is unbreakable for me. :( I think I was cursed when born to be the "destroyer of all things". My father told me when I was 4 years old he took me to the zoo and I just stared at the elephants for ten minutes and he wondered what I was thinking. I don't remember that incident but if I had to guess it was.......hmmmm I wonder how I can break these things?

I CANNOT WAIT for this run of Woodvils!!!!!!! He just HAS to make enough for us all. It would just be heartbreaking to want one sooooo badly and not be able to get one. I know he'll have enough that we (frequent forum flyers) could have one, but we're not the only people who will be buying. COMPLETE STRANGERS who have never even been on this sub-forum will be buying these!!! Eeeek!

Hopefully these won't be ready until early January, and everybody will have already spent themselves silly (not us....) on Christmas and won't remember that there's a REO Woodvil sale about to happen.

OK, without starting a panic (I hope), let's ask a question. If I want two woodvils, should I go ahead and get two brass RM2's now ?

Maybe it just me but I don't see a downside if you do whether you get one or two Woodvils. Worst case scenario you have a RM2 coiled and at the ready. ;) Kinda like an extra loaded ammo clip for your gun.

Ya know. I always thought the woodies looked awesome, but I couldn't justify the cost. I was going to pm rob about a blem grand. But looking at the pics, I'm really, really, tempted. Now I'm completely torn. What was the time spread on woodie rubs? I might have to get a blem grand now, and plan to get a woodie after my 1year anniversary.
