I started vaping over a month ago with joyetech ego-c (which I will never bash as it got me off the analogs) and then started buying all kinds of clearomizers like stardusts, vision grande, vision xl, and most recently the vivi nova.
I was getting so frustrated with all the problems that these have, such as dry hits, burnt tastes, having to swirl around my pv after every toot like an obsessive compulsive.

FINALLY, I bought a pack of Boge cartos and I'm never going back (unless it's an emergency)! The taste is better, the draw is smoother, I don't have to worry about getting juice in the mouth. It's a wonder people are dealing with clearomizers. Why are they so popular and why are most vendors pushing them?!? I don't get it.

Next on the list is a Phiniac tank one of those carto punches.

I'm excited to be vaping again!

I'm with you all the way! I stuck w/ ego t & ego c's for 10 months because I kept hearing about burnt cartos & fiber. I was sent a carto sample along w/a juice order & didn't even know that the small holes on the bottom meant it was punched for a tank (which I didn't have). Anyways, I filled it & stuck it on my ego & never looked back. I now a supply of t's, c-heads, clearos, stardusts & the list goes on; they're all put away. I love my cartos & I wound up w/a submarine & minisub tank that are great. So glad that someone else agrees....THANKS!

Sorry, but I love my Stardusts!
I've tried the carts - Boge and Smoktech - and they just don't do it for me.

I feel like they mute the taste and I don't get as good vapor or TH from them.

Now, if either of you lovely people would like to clear out your stash of Stardusts to a good home, I happen to know of one...

:p

I also have had no end of problems with Visions, SD's, etc. It's a toss up between cartos and straight dripping nowadays. Either one keeps me happy as a pig in ... well ... you know :D. Tried both Boge and Kanger and while the Boge is an excellent carto, it's the Kanger Horizontals that do it for me and my Twists. There's a lot to be said for the KISS principle!

I've tried all the usual suspects, and keep going back to my ego-c with a 1.7 single coil smoktech, whether it's a resurrector cartomizer, or a punched version in a tank. Once you find the hardware combo you like, the juice is the final frontier. You could try them forever, since there's literally hundreds of flavors!! I'm just glad my hardware is sorted out.

Boge cartos, punched, in a tank was my startup after getting something more than my 510 starter kit and I haven't looked to try anything else. I'd like to have a cisco atty to try new flavours, but when I find a liquid that I want to use as an adv, then it will probably go into the carto + tank setup for great vaping and minimal fuss. That's just the way I like it :)

I agree, it's a much more relaxing feeling knowing that you've found what setup you like. I was going mental spending all the money I was trying to find it.

My every day set up is a SR boge carto in a home made tank. The boge cartos work perfectly for me. I've tried some clearos and I just don't like how they work. Every other day a new type comes out and I'm tempted to try again, but I'm going to continue to wait. I might try a vivi nova in a few weeks. The rebuildable aspect is tempting to me.

As for tanks, I'm tempted to buy something awesome, but my home made tanks have a fill hole with a stopper that has never failed me and is super easy to use. I'd like to get a phiniac tank because they look cool, but I don't want to give up my super easy filling. My tanks are not the coolest looking tanks around, but functionally they are awesome.

I was super excited for the vivi nova. I bought 2 kits, filled them with my favorite juices and they tasted horrible. I swear there's some sort of conspiracy going on with all the positive reviews I've seen about them. lol.

Oh no! Not what I wanted to hear. LOL. Yeah, that's why I'm waiting to read more about them.

Some people say there's a break in period, but I didn't want to risk the juice just in case. And I only tried the 2.4ohm (which actually read out at 2.8) atty's, just to be fair.

There are two reasons I don't use cartos with filling any more.

Most importantly, my lungs reacted badly to many of the materials used in the filling. I had a couple of breathless and scary months until I figured out what was going on. Also, I'm a lazy DIYer, and like to mix on the fly, which I can't do it a carto.

After a loooong search, I've settled on stardusts and now the new vivi nova for both taste and ease of use. But, I have to agree with you - Boges are certainly easy to use, reliable, and usually cheaper.

That IS scary! I'm sorry to hear, but am glad you got it sorted out. Maybe soon they'll have this whole atomizer thing perfected. No wick, no filler, Just a coil in a 3ml glass tank.

Yeah, that would be great!

I do need to add that I smoked pretty heavily for over 40 years. I obviously had lung problems already, but cartos made it a lot worse fast. It went completely away as soon as I stopped using them. In fact, my lungs are better than they have been in years!

But it's not the cartos, it's me. So, enjoy your Boges and vape on!

If (big if..:)) you are willing to rebuild the heads, you can make any resistance suites you, and there's a thread about using 100% pure cotton for the wicking.
With the cotton wicks they taste much like dripping on a good atty, without the hassle and a 5 mL tank.
