I recently crawled under the truck to grease the drive shat U-bolts. I gave everything a good lookover, same reason. At seventy-three, that is not a tip-toe through the tulips.

Better a truck than a compact car! I can still wriggle at 67, but I hate to squeeze under a low clearance compact car.

I don't see any grease points on my truck's drive joints. I get the feeling it will be one of those things where the drive shaft falls off and I'll look and say, "Oh, that's where they are".

True. I can get to a lot of things without jacking up the truck.. Some I can't so I have to haul out the jack and stands. Always makes the job longer. Replaced the fuel pump the other day. Had to de-bolt the bed and jack up the bed. That was interesting. Found 3 of the 8 bolts holding the bed to the frame were missing. From the looks of it, they were never there from Day 1.

I don't know if they have grease points anymore. I never see it mentioned in the service intervals in the manuals.

These days they use better grease formulations that don't dry out and call it a lifetime part. Lots of people overfilled the parts and the seals popped, allowing dirt and grime to enter the joint and that led to early failure according to the articles I've read on a Google search.

My truck is 25 years old. Thought they had grease points for everything back then. Maybe not.

They must want you to replace them instead. More profit for the parts department if it's a dealer only item.

Toyota Tacoma 4x4, it has five zerks and a couple are kind of hard to find but I do it every second change, around 15,000 miles.

I was about to agree but, as time has flown by, that's '93 and things had changed or begun to change then. Yours may not, Tacoma 4x4 has five, I think two wheel (actually one wheel) drive does not.

Whatever this mystery item is, I'm not going to question it. The husband does the car stuff, he even has a pretty decent diagnostic machine. LOL, it's still way harder than it used to be.

Although, the only time I saw him seriously VERCLEMPT was when he was replacing my (new) Bug's radiator. He kept muttering about non-standard sized auto items, and how "The Germans always try to shove 500 pounds in a 50 pound bag." I was like, "Don't you mean KILOS?"

He did not find it funny. LOL, when I killed it deliberately almost by driving through a wash that I KNEW might be a bad idea, and fried the electrical system, LOL, he was almost as happy as I was.

But yeah, things have gotten (deliberately) harder it seems.

It's working great. I've mostly vaped it in power mode. I switched over to TC mode for a while and it works there, too. First time it burps I'll take it apart and try the star washer fix. I'd like to see the intermittent issue before I go inside it. I was taught early on in my technical career, "If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It".

Welp, I'm here during tiny breaks form computer woes, and due to this ultra minuscule screen, I think I'd better hit the Ctrl + keys. I read your words as the Star Wars fix.

Do keep us posted, please, DaveP. (on the Nano adventure)

Is yours doing something strange? I need someone to tell me how to set it up where I'll see the problem.

Since most all the issues people have posted about in other forums were in TC mode I might not see it unless I actually use TC mode. I'm mostly a 10W power mode guy. If you can help me create a scenario where weird stuff happens, that would help tremendously. If I go in and add star washers and never had the problem before doing that I might think I've fixed it, but mine just happened to be one of the "good" ones.

I'm waiting for something screwy to happen before I dive in. I'm not sure how to make it happen, though. I might have to do some web crawling in the ecig forums and see what I can dig up. On the full size Hcigar DNA75's people say the Cathode screw gets loose and tightening it will fix it until it gets loose again. That could be fixed with a drop of Loctite.

The Nano does have the problem. There are forum posts about TC mode readings going up and down, followed by some crazy messages in the LCD display.

Looks like I need to start using TC Mode exclusively before I'll see the problem. I obviously haven't stressed it properly to make it happen.

Your item has been processed through our facility in ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS) at 10:14 am on June 16, 2018.

So, is USPS before or after Customs?

After, Chicago can suck too, had packages sit there for a week before, hopefully not yours though.

I'd say after. Customs is usually the first to touch imports, then they go on to the delivery services.

So, a smoker at work wants to buy my Sandstorm Jac. He offered a $100.00 for it. It currently has a Zenith tank on it, so It would be included. I would then order myself a new Sandstorm. The question is, do I want to be without my Sandstorm for a couple weeks or should I just make him wait for a new one to come in? I love my Sandstorm!

I'm still limping along with some computer issues, but when I can do, I'll PM you, Dave. :)
