I hear ya but it'll be here before you know it. I started when I was 18. Almost 22yrs later, It's flown by.

We can retire after 20 but can't start drawing until age 55 or stay 28 and draw immediately reguardless of age.

State, county & local are all the same system here. 20 & out for hazardous duty.I sure hope so capt. I am a state employee, and unfortunately for our pension you have to be 55 with 25 years of service to retire. Meaning, even if I have 25 years in before that I still have to stay. I shouldn't complain new hires now have to have 25 years and age 62.
