I know thats what I thought too. But she is still saying the initial fill is fine and then refill problems. So that kinda eliminates the punctured center theory. Thats the kinda problem I had when my punches were too large I think. Oh yea and juice down the center.

Actually, she said she wasn't having any problems since she got the punched carto I sent her, so I think the cartos she bought pre-punched were the problem. Cat, correct me if I'm wrong and you're still having issues!

Hubby has the same problem on his Magma when he refills and doesn't blow it out. The white cap on the carto sticks up in the tank cap and he gets juice down in the carto that flows down through the connector. I'm trying to get him to take the tank off the mod and to make sure once the tank cap is on, to blow through the tip. It's really amazing how much juice can get it there and it flows down and out the vent holes just above the threading on the carto. It makes quite a mess especially with his dark liquids. I know it's much easier to refill with it still attached to the PV, but I always take the tank off. It's been working for me for several weeks now. Blowing out is the key after the refill because when the top cap goes on it presses the air into the hole, but it can push juice in too.

Hey Wolf and B400 (still need to go read your pm-thanks) So what is happening :-x is the same every time. I load it. It works great to about 2/3 full tank. Then burnt, dry vape. I pull the top off and see a completely dry cart. So I try wetting the carto ever so slightly, put top on to o-ring..turn tank sideways and push top all the way on..and it's downhill from there. I can't ever seem to see through the hole again. I can blow through and maybe see through for awhile, but most of the time I cannot ever see through the hole again. It gurgles, or dries out again....and I know it's just me/user error....and I don't even understand what a punctured center means/ And why would it start to dry vape on me when I've barely vaped a third of juice in the first fill? I know I'm not the only one struggling..(thank goodness for pm's). It's ok because I know I'll get past this sooner or later. And when I do, I have 2 gorgeous tanks to vape on. Thanks again, lavacorps!

I went into more detail in the PM but..when you turn it sideways, you need to turn it all the way upside down. And its ok if the carto looks dry at the top after you've been vaping a while because it only needs to have juice at the bottom where the punch is. If its dry when u vape, suck on the mouthpiece (lol, yea) without firing the device a few times. You will see some bubbles come out of the punch hole(s).

Hey sweet Ty....I am still struggling, but I'm confidant I'll get there. I thought I'd try a completely different juice, but honestly I don't think that's the probem. Obviously it's just me. That's ok. I'm not a quitter.

Okay, cat, do you take long fast draws or long slow draws? My husband take real long slow draws and hasn't had a problem. I'm wondering if you might be drawing too fast for too long a period of time. That was one of our biggest adjustments to vaping over smoking. One of the only things I can think of is that you're pulling the juice across the heating element faster than it can get in through the hole.

Cat, I can't stress enough how important it is to have the carto full of juice before it goes in the tank. Pm me your addy and I'll send you a couple of tubes with the fill ports in them. Tell me how many Lava Tanks you have in the PM.

This way after the carto is full, you can assemble the tank and fill it through the port with a syringe....which I'll send you also. That should eliminate any flooding. Just blow out the excess juice out of the carto before you put the tank together.

Fran....any chance you could send me a couple of those thumb screws for her? What's the thread on them?

Okay..I admit I find this confusing. To me it's either sideways...or upside down. How do I turn it upside down AND sideways?

On an "up" note..look at all my smileys and other stuff I've learned since I've been here! I'm confident it's only a matter of time.

thanks stripper for your offer....but let me try a little while longer to beat this. I got a tapping saddle and boges on the way from Stormy's.
