I see another CE2
tank has hit the market made from aluminum. I would really discourage people from using this as there is a real danger from
vaping out of RAW aluminum. I know this has been debated here on ECF over and over, so I am attaching a copy of the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for 6061 aluminum.
http://www.mwswire.com/safetydata/aluminum.pdf All materials in manufacturing require this data sheet. Here's some direct quotes from the sheet.
Long Term Exposure: Watering of the eyes, headaches, difficulty in breathing, coughing, severe chest pains and in acute cases, lung disease, lung fibrosis, pneumoconiosis or neurological damage.
In case of ingestion, seek immediate medical attention.
I am really upset that someone is selling something that is not at all safe. I have been a machinist/toolmaker for 25 years. I have worked in both large scale bakeries and dairies. Deans food and Blue Bunny were clients I dealt with. In their facilities, the only thing that was allowed to be in contact with food was stainless steel, teflon and delrin. Aluminum was taboo. My first job when I got out of the service was with an aluminum die cast plant. I worked there for 10 years and suffer from lung damage caused by long term exposure to aluminum. When someone comes on here telling everyone it's 100% safe to vape from a tank made from aluminum, is clearly uneducated. Sorry for the rant folks, but this issue really strikes home for me. This has nothing to do with competition. This has everything to do with the blatant disregard for other peoples safety. In case anyone is wondering here is the MSDS for Delrin, the material that I use.
DuPont Polymers Once again, sorry for the rant, and I'll get down off of my soapbox now.
