Until last month, I worked for DirecTV...we really did send out a lot of replacement receivers.

On another note, was perusing through G+ earlier and came across a post from a proud owner of 3 Lavatanks. She posted a pic of those gorgeous things...and some numbnuts kid comments "i didn't know they ripped off the ming too, nice."

I questioned what he meant by 'ripped off', to which he replied "wait? those are ming and pawn tips not made by cherry vape? or is it not a rip off because its one piece?"

"Those are jonboyUSMC Lava tanks, and the top cap and drip tip are a single piece. The pawn and Ming SHAPES, however, have been around for centuries (pawn shape from the game of chess, Ming from the shapes of some of the vases produced during the Ming Dynasty in China, if not others). The shapes themselves are not proprietary to Cherry Vapes." was my response, which was met with:

"oh, so since its a marine its okay. he definitely didn't get the idea from cherryvape, he decided to be innovative and make them up himself. oh wait."

Hey Joe, here's a link to a thread of the Lavacorps on G+ Video / Voice chat discussion thread : Lavacorps - International Vapers Club

I had to bite my tongue hard to leave that guy alone.... but no need to feed the trolls ;)

I'll weigh in on the tv/cable/sat discussion. We had satellite for years but living in FL which has a rainy season so regular you can set your clock by it, we got sick of losing the picture. So we switched to Comcast (already had them for internet anyways) The picture was actually worse than Sat but it was more reliable. We eventually picked up all the services - the HD Triple Play, phone, tv, and internet. Till one day I started wondering where all my damn money was going. Then I saw the $170 cable bill and said F___ it. Cancelled everything but the internet and bought a Roku box to stream from the internet wirelessly to the TV - gives me Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime and about 300 other choices of stuff to watch. Bought an antenna for $20 from Lowes - that gives me 15 channels of crystal clear HD local channels over the air.

I paid for the top Roku they have - $99. One time purchase, no recurring charges, you own it. I also have 3 Subscription Streaming services...lets round it and say $25/month for all. Plus the Internet, which was $60/month till I called last week to get the faster service they're supposed to be offering. They said they couldn't give me the faster service in my area yet, but they'd give me another promotion, which is the same internet I have now for $30/month for a year.

In a nutshell, I went from $170/month, down to $55/month - still have cable internet speeds, still get all HD local channels, can still watch just about any tv show or movie anytime I want without PPV charges. Took a few weeks to get used to streaming, but to cut my bill by 2/3, it was worth it.

EZ Tank Round Black/Black o Ring - Tanks - AccessoriesJ-TANK It is just my opinion, that is all, I love the Jon's tanks and plan on getting more...the one I got is just not doing it for me...

I think that there will always be mixed opinions on Jon's tanks....It's no secret that most of these tank all work the same. So 7's comments are not wrong. The difference between most tanks are fit and finish.....but ultimately they all work the same. The material that Jon uses varies from tank to tank. It's possible that 2 tanks made from the same material could look different. I suggest exactly what 7 is doing. Trade it for a color that he would prefer. Also, more than likely it could be sold for the full price he paid. Bottom line is that everyone has their preference. Some of us love Jon's tanks....some of us don't see the uniqueness of them. I feel pretty confident that once 7 gets his color that he's happy with.....he'll be hooked like the rest of us.

Right on...yeah I have had some offers for people to buy it for way more than I got it and I do not think that is the right thing to do, I just want to trade it. I think it performs great and junk...I am looking forward to the next sale for sure...
We know plenty of people will buy your tank, give it time and someone will trade you too. People don't check that trade thread all the time.

I read the G+ conversation.....To say that Jon ripped off a style is complete stupidity. You are correct. The Ming and Pawn style have been around forever. So the comment that anything has been ripped off is just plain stupid.
