I have always known about that feature too and that is why I remain invisible. To watch someone's activity is stalkerish and just plain rude. Who cares if it is a forum feature....that doesn't make it the right thing to do. I appreciate Jon's hard work and the stress he goes through and probably no one stresses as much as I do on sale night, but I sit and wait for my pm's. Using that feature is like peeping in someone's bedroom window........and just because you can do it, does not mean you should do it. If people want these sales to continue, making the Boss mad is not the way to make that happen.

Slot I don't think it was meant out of malice. I checked cause I didn't know you could even do such a thing but once I did I kinda felt like a peeping tom. I was curious about the ability to do it. I never meant to make things difficult or invade ones privacy but when I realized that was exactly what I was doing I realized that's not the kind of person I am.
Curiosity got the best of the unicorn when it came upon. the Dark Forest. This was a place quite unfamiliar to the unicorn, who made his home in the eternally sunny Happy Valley.
Its a public open forum...to believe ANYTHING here is private...well, give santa clause a high 5 for me, and the easter bunny his foot back.

fun story, I worked as a stocker at the Commissary at Ft. Gordon for years and with my southern accent told someone that I was just getting off work. They asked what I did and I told them I stocked, I was a stocker. They understood that as stalker and asked if that was even legal
There's a difference between doing that and checking a profile to see what they're doing at that moment.
Its a PUBLIC FORUM. There is no privacy unless u set invisibility. Which anytime I join a forum I set this first thing. When you sign up it is in the registration I am pretty sure. HAHAHAHA!
Looking at someone's profile or leaving a message is one thing, doing it to see what pm he is reading is rude......so what you do it for is perfectly acceptable.
I had no idea it would tell you who's PM was being read. Now I'm doubly glad I'm invisible. Don't really mind people knowing where I am on the forum, but who I'm PM'ing with is a bit... creepy. Now I'm sorry I made the glib comment about feeling like a stalker, at the time I was kidding, but now I'm not. No idea you could really do that...

The tankless was capped at 100 awhile back. You can't get on it anymore.
Honestly, I take it as a compliment to be stalk-able....stalk away creepers!

I will admit I was quite guilty of stalking. I was unaware that it was frowned upon. I do it when I am trying to make a trade in the sake forums. I assumed most did as well. My apologies to Jon if I upset him. Thanks people for making me feel like a creep. Way to pile on bullies. I'm only joking about the last part in case I upset someone.
Hey now! I never knew it would show what pm a person was looking at. I know it shows what forum or thread. I personally don't care if people see what I'm doing, but if I were a supplier or vendor, I might be more inclined to go invisible *shrug*
