Is a saddle valve not good enough?

-AJ
The saddle valve works, but no guarantee how long the piercing point will hold up. Also you have to make sure to completely clamp down the carto or the point can severely distort the carto. If you try to put a carto into you Lava and the carto is out of round you can damage or destroy the bottom cap. I used the saddle valve successfully but the carto punch from VIP or COV that will run you $45.00 is much easier to use and had a carbide tipped screw for punching. It will last much longer.

New guy intro!

Hey everyone! Since I have my first lava tank on the way, thought I would send a little intro about me. :) I quit smoking last year and started vaping in March. It was a big year for me because not only did I quit a 35yr old habit, I turned 50 as well. It was a year of big change for me. No more analogs and I've been dieting since August. Last week I hit my goal and I've lost 50lbs to boot! Not married but I have 8 dogs lol.

Anyways, that's me in a nutshell. Look forward to getting to know you all and am waiting in definite anticipation for my first lavatank!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!

Dave

Oh and another thing, does anyone know where I can get a longer tube for my new tank? I like vaping XL dual coils. Has Jon ever made those available?

Thanks!

Yep, Jon does make the XL tubes. Just send him a PM and he'll take care of you. Regular length extra tubes cost $3 each ... not sure if there is a price difference on the XL ones.

I was going to buy the $15 Stainless one from COV, but they are out of stock. I want to order some from Siam Mods. Anyone interested in a group buy?

-AJ
I just went and looked. Seems Siam Mods is out of stock too. I've got the one from VIP and it works great.

You will have to ask Jon. I know a lot of people use the Resurrectors with their GLV mods. The extra length sticks out the bottom and allows them room to push the button. Jon uses the DC shorties which fit the standard tank. Grammie cuts her own tubes so she can make whatever size she wants.

Nice to meet you here. Familiar with you from twitter and VapeTv. You will love your Lavatank. Congrats on losing the 50....quite an accomplishment as well as dropping the analog habit! :)

*whistles to herself trying hard to keep her mouth in check*

and someone please tell me why I keep looking at drip tips when I window shop sites and want a ton of em, when I already have ton of em and really don't use them?

There is no need for DTs when you have lavas. I keep thinking about ordering more trippy tips, but I have 2 on my 2 non lava tanks, and have no need for more.

yeh i can't even put my lava tank on it for fear that it will break. it's pretty annoying to have your carto break off at the threads all the time though. i've been back on analogs

Another solution could be one of those wood mods with the recessed tank connection. Or a customized box mod with recessed connection. Im afraid to keep my mods in my pocket for that reason, im always carrying them around setting em down, picking em up its annoying. Maybe one of those leather holsters for the provari would help. Im worried about the same issue bending over with it tho
