That's one with the 18650 extension, right Ty?

Yes Summer, this Provari has the 18650 cap on it. I have a Black cchrome one too, that doesn't have the extended cap...and I just got a mini Lava tube today too, which is actually alot smaller then I thought it would be!! :)

My Black Chrome one had the extension, and my sparkly pink one does too. I just couldn't quite tell from the angle. I'm gonna need to get a second one for the ProVari cutdown, though! :D

In other news, I hate how blurry the ECF makes my avatars. :(

So... i posted earlier that my saddle valve bit the bullet. Thinking I may try out slotting.

Any lava peeps slot their cartos for lavatanks? One slot, two? Seems I like 2 punch holes, but slots would be bigger so I am thinking one.

I slot mine. Just one but, my juice is 80 pg, 20 vg not to thick. I think with a boge you could cut almost all the way around and still would work. Never had one flood out on me with what ever size slot I used.

I don't have a lavatank yet but I have been using tanks since the third day of vaping and I slot, I use 2 but also use thicker juices.

Don't go down that road unless you care to vape metal shavings & risk flooding. I can't recommend buying a high quality carto punch enough. You will eventually buy one. It's a fact. Go ahead & spend the cash now & save yourself cash & headaches in the future. You'll thank me.

So true! Mr. SD and I used a dremel once to slot a carto just to test out the theory. We took it apart and there were noticeable glints of metal shavings in there. BAD IDEA, 110%. It's along the same road as piercing yourself with a safety pin, which tears the skin apart, rather than using a hollow needle to punch out the flesh.

I pierce for a living, so forgive the reference. :D It's just the terms my wacked out brain thinks in.

Thanks blue. I've only had flooding with 3 holes. Actually, I do get a little flooding upon every refill regardless of the tank or holes, but it usually disappears with a few good vapes, clean, then good to go. Thinking the it's pressure that needs stabalize inside the tank?

I was about......... to say "why would I pierce myself with a safety pin??". Then read the rest of your post.:p

On the shavings........ Yes I agree as I cut my own arrows for archery, and it's why I haven't tried it yet for cartos. But, after research..... those that do slot make some good points. SS (even the most fine shavings) is still heavier than the filler in cartos, and it would take quite allot of effort to get those shaving up through all that filler. So.......... I dunno?
