We know because we know what they have been made of in past sales. These "metal" tanks are not the same as the SS ones which were stainless steel

There is a LOT more info about stuff like this over in the ask questions thread at the other place though and feel free to ask whatever you need to know, if we know we are more than willing to help or sometimes you can even get an answer out of Dino or Jon on things we dont know

So, now how do you know the names of these? Or are you talking about what their made of?

I've only purchased by Money Order once and it was the SS. I had actually purchased my M.O. before the sale. I figured if I didn't get one, I could always cash the M.O. Once I knew I had it, I put it in an envelope and mailed it. As I understand it, the tank will not ship until your M.O. or Dwolla payment has been received and cleared. Then you receive and email with your tracking information. Takes only a few days longer than a Paypal transfer.

That is the way I purchased my last tank also. Of course, it was during the SS sale when I knew chances of getting one would be pretty good. I had the money order in the mail by 10:00 the next morning. I suspect there were Dwolla payments that took longer to process than what it took for my money order to arrive by snail mail.

I am sticking with a MO. IF I get lucky and get a tank, of course. Last sale i mailed my mo out on monday with no issues. I would imagine as long as you state in your email that you are paying via MO that Jon & Dino will hold the tank for a week. This is just my assumption. Jon and Dino have the final word.

it used to be the policy that you needed to pay within 24 hours. I'd ask over at the other place to be sure if that's possible. maybe with the new system things have changed

Mostly about what they are made of. The ones referred to as Damascus and Cobaltium are a blend, I believe. You would have to check with Jon or Dino to be certain. As far as names go, they used to be sold by the name of the blank they were cut from. Now they are sold by number. You can check out Lava Sales or Lava Questions for more information.
