I though I had posted an update.
The hospital here can't tell their butts from a hole in the ground.
He is a perfectly health baby boy.
He gained back what he had lose the first few days after he was born the first two weeks.
He has gained a pound in the last week.
Now if you are talking about my MIL They are still doing test at 8 this morning.
She is in a MUCH better hospital about 70 miles from here.
My wife has been there since she took her yesterday and probably be there again tonight.

That is great about your grandson!!!!!!!!! That's one good thing about living in the Northeast, we have some of the best hospitals in the country. Sorry, to hear about your MIL. I hope the tests turn out well.

I am not having a carto problem. I cannot get the top and bottom caps off at all, let alone back on. I quess I will have to spend $10 to try the silicone grease:

Krose... I did get my food grade lubricant today and it has helped. I got mine from Avid Vapor $1.99 for small bottle (that should last me a long time since I just have one tank that's a problem).... I added a couple boxes of cartos to make it work a shipment. Now if you ever want to Bedazzle your SS tank like Kevin said you'll want a thick faceted. As for my wood tank I'm sticking with the orginal poly tube as it just won't work with the thin Bedazzles and I can't use the thick in my tube inset mod.

Thanks, I appreciate your help. I will definitely try it. Gives me an excuse to buy some more cisco attys!

Ok, so lava tube newb question:
I can't quit flooding my cartos!
I have gone through about 5 boges so far.
On the initial fill it works great, vapes like a freight train, but after I take the cap off and refill it, it floods. So far every time.
I tried punching two holes first, then slotting them, then one hole. All flooded. I use a 60vg 40pg blend.
I have used several tanks before including DCT'S and a jtank, I have had flooding issues with all of them from time to time, but nothing like I am having with my lava.
I am sad.
Am I doing something wrong? Is it from storing it on it's side? Is it air pressure from the top cap being put back on? I am confused.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
PS These tanks truly are beautiful!

I got ahold of some bad boges about 3 months ago. Seemed like each one would work for about one tank and then they would flood. Sometimes they would start flooding before even one tank, and if they didn't flood, they wouldn't have much vapor, and sometimes they wouldn't work at all. So I ordered 4 more boxes from the same vendor, and had the same problem. I was so frustrated, and if I hadn't have been using the lava tanks for quite some time before that very successfully I would have probably have thought it was the lava tanks. I ordered some boges from a different vendor, and I was back to normal vaping. Doesn't matter if I use 100%VG, 100% PG, punch 1 hole, 2 holes or 3 holes, works great every time. I would be happy to throw a couple of punched cartos in the mail to you if you want to try some different cartos than you are using now and see if thats the problem. :)

I don't have any issue with my lavas flooding and mine are on their sides a lot until I get a tank stand. Once you get in the habit of finding that airhole and doing what is shows in Billy's post, it becomes second nature and it only takes a second. Filling a syringe, sliding the carto, filling the tank, and sliding the carto back in takes a lot longer than finding the airhole.

and hello LavaFamily :)
