These are cartos from electronicstix, the ones that are laser drilled. I had this carto in my VPX tank with no issues. I put it into the lavatank and after about 10 vapes, it starts to get into the mouth from the tip. Take the tip off, wipe any condensation off, put it back on and about 10 vapes later, the same. I took the same carto out and put it back into the VPX tank and no issues. Been vaping all day on it. The tip is pushed down as far as it can so it will not go down any further. I do not get leakage from the punch and the laser drilled have been spot on ever since I have been using them from Vapercon.
So no one has ever used an O-ring even for the hell of it? Just trying to figure it out as I love the weight, feel and look of the Lavatank I got. Nice dark blue swirl with a mixture of white and black swirls(mind tip).

LOL, no, not upside down. I would say I normally vape at a 45 degree angle. I guess kind of the way you would vape a genesis in some cases.
How snug should a carto fit in the top cap if I were to just put one up there? Should they kind of fit and not fall out or should there be a little room left?

I decided to put a 510 grommet on the inside. There was a small channel that it fit into perfectly. I will test it out with that.
Here is a pic for the hell of it.

Skyway I think what you are experiencing is condensation in the top cap. I get this if I am chain vaping the hell out of my lava. It kinda feels like you get a little juice in your mouth. I found that if I continue to draw air for a second or two after releasing the button then I dont get that issue anymore. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I see the standard is the correct size. Still trying to figure it out. Maybe I need the widen the tip just a tad. I don't have the same problem with my normal ming tips. I will try a new carto and see if it clears up. I would venture to guess it is condensation but it tastes too pure to just be that.

One other thing Skyway. Are you removing the little white cap in the carto or leaving it in? When I got my first Lavatank, I had the same problem you are having with juice in the mouth. I was leaving the white cap in and believe it was letting condensation build up on top of it. Once I quit using the white cap, I never had the problem again.

Nope, those are one of the first things I remove when opening up a carto. I used to drip fill cartos. Now I just fill from the bottom and once full, I let them sit on a towel the blow anything out that might be left behind. I find sitting them on a towel pulls the excess out of the center tube without having to blow them out though.
As stated, I will try a new carto tonight. I still have an older one that I slot with the dremel I can try after that. I thought I had it licked with the grommet but it still got through the mouth piece. I have noticed that the hole in the mouthpiece is smaller than a standard drip tip and am curious if that might be it. Ming tips also have a channel in the ball section that is open so that might prevent some condensation from coming up. I could always do that with a carving tip on the dremel in the lava tip.
