Just got mine in the mail today, cleaned it, and let it dry.

It's interesting that there's such a long fire-on delay when vaped at the recommended settings. I'm creeping up in power and temperature (since that's what I'm used to doing with my Freemax Starre Pro) and still have a perceivable delay on the 0.5-ohm coil at 32W and 460F on a VTC-Mini in SS mode (3.0 firmware update).

Am I just being overly analytical here or is that a bit unusual? Also, I get a lot of vapor out at this setting, but the flavor isn't anywhere near as close to what I'm getting out of the Starre Pro yet.

I find the recommended settings to be a bit low as well. I've been running them a bit higher, I use the clapton I modified around 30-35w and it seems to be doing fine but the flavor seems better and there isn't as much heat up time.

Thanks for the feedback. I think part of it might just be break-in of the cotton and coil as well since the flavor is starting to poke its head out. I'm up to 32W, same temperature, and I'm surprised at the vapor output (especially since the included card shows a 2/5 on the "cloud" scale). The delay is still there, but it seems like it's getting shorter...that or I'm just getting used to it.

And, honestly, I could care less about the vapor output. I prefer flavor anyway and extra vapor just makes my life harder when I'm underway (ballistic missile submarine)...we have recirculating air, one spot we can enjoy these dang things, and a COB who already doesn't like the idea of us doing this in the first place. The way I see it, I'd much rather be doing this than just about ANY other form of nicotine intake.

Also, for anybody looking for replacement coils, I ordered mine on SlowTech. The projected in-stock date on the 0.5-ohm SS 5-packs was today, so I'm anticipating a shipping notice any minute now. Price seems more than fair and at least I know they'll be authentic.

the Cubis might be a home run for them but the size is a little bit of a downer looks like they could have made it a larger diameter & kept the height the same

Wish this tank had a little more capacity.

I agree with yunz that a 5ml. Cubis would be nice.

But...in terms of time/effort required...I much prefer a 3.5ml. Top-Fill tank over a 5ml. Bottom-Fill tank...:headbang:

Make it 7ml! Hehe (im using subtank plus now...)

Side note on the subtank plus. I'm using it now and enjoying it...but I feel like the 7mils is sort of a scam since there is a good 2 mils left before you have to refill, since the coil sits higher up. So for me, it's pretty much just a 5mil tank sadly.

You are correct! Lol did you live there or just a visitor?
Born and raised on the outskirts (Monroeville). I did just visit recently when my grandmother passed away and spent a few days with my buddy in Dormont. I hadn't been back for about 7 years (moved away 12 years ago), and the town is MUCH more fun as an adult!

Try my methid if clearing the coil and see if that solves the problem.

Just an update I pulled the restrictor out of the clapton and the 1.0 coil and the airflow difference was night and day.
After a couple of days with the .5 I'm getting the gurgling and some spit back. Have to run it at least 40w to compensate the flavor is good but thing drinks the juice at that power. Not to mention the tank gets quite hot when chain vaping. Decided to try the 1.0 but there is no difference in airflow between that and the 1.5 Clapton. So I remembered your post and pulled the restrictor out of the 1.0. Wow. What a difference. Now the draw is just like the .5 but I can get a satisfactory vape at 20w. I'll give it more time and see if the gurgling or spit back returns for now I'm happy

Saw some sort of "Pittsburghese Dictionary" awhile back...believe you are right.

But...back in 1948 ...when I was 3yo and learning to speak...everyone around me (Bloomfield) pronounced it "yunz"...
