I just noticed the "New" Gray is a lot lighter in color! It took me a while to decide between Black and Gray when I first bought mine. Is there any other difference you know of other than the color shade?

No major or minor difference just the shade. The first gray is a slate gray more so than gun metal color.I love my dark gray unit though I find myself recharging batts for this one more so than the black or silver.

Now I know why Joyeetech changed from the dark gray to a more silvermgray. I had mine in my pocket and smacked one of the corners in my house and when I pulled the mod from my pocket, the dark gray has chipped from around the top cap area and is now a dark black. I did not hit a very big area of it but it is noticeable even at a slight distance. Now I need to find an exact match for this slate gray to cover it up. What a bummer.

Anybody understand this new smart mode that's been added in update 3.11. joyetech's explanation is kind of vague and I haven't been able to find much info on it.

Ok, I haven't messed with it much, but from Joyetech's vague description it, seems like the new Smart mode may work like this: you attach an atty and the mod reads the resistance. Then it shows you a power scale, from min (then to --BF-- for certain coils for whatever reason) to max. You can then adjust your wattage where you like it.

Joyetech says that the mod remembers your setting for that resistance. When you attach a different atty and set a different wattage it remembers that setting. Now you should be able to switch between both tanks, and as long as the mod is in Smart mode, it should? automatically go to the power setting that each coil head (based on resistance) was last set to. You can do this for up to 10 different coils.

That explanation is probably wrong. Just thought I'd take a crack at it. I honestly haven't been able to get it to work with my tanks. Going by Joyetech's description and my teeny tiny insignificant experience from messing with it for a couple minutes, it seems like that's how it's supposed to function.

Smart mode is pretty dumb imo.

I run kanthal, nickel, and ss in different attys. Cant see how it'll determine this from resistance, let alone the different tcrs I have programmed in M1-3.

But I will install the update just for the down adjustment fix instead of going round robin.

Never mind figured out, feel like an idiot. Decided to go with the 3.01 as this was never really a 200 watt device, and I don't need that many watts.

If you put a 0.37 build on this device with the update it will hit 200 Watts but ONLY with a 0.37 build and the batt. Life will be depressing anyway at that wattage.

I love this mod. My only gripe is the finish. The paint on the battery doors that are in constant contact with with the surface are now showing bare metal. To avoid this happening to the body, I gutted one of my wife's old leather handbag and made a leather sleeve for it. The feel of Japanese leather really adds to the premium feel.

Get a sleeve if you want the black to stay nice. Mine looks like crap in less than a month

Less pleased with the firmware update setting the power to 200W, so that my first toot after upgrading was also the last on that wick.. :D

Thanks for that warning, I haven't upgraded from 3.00 yet and was just thinking about doing it in the near future. What were they thinking ??

Just got my Cuboid this weekend to replace my istick 50w that I use for work. Tried to use my infeeling mad hatter on it and kept getting "atomizer short" so I tossed my uwell crown tank on it. So far I am happy with it. Updated the firmware when I got it home. Only been using power mode so far. Haven't really ever tried TC yet with the crowns SS coils.

Guess I'll need to get a rx200 and hope my rda will work on it.
