I'm wondering if any differences between the vaping of the 0.6Ω and 1.5Ω in the AIO (with its fixed voltage battery) may be due to the 0.6Ω being Stainless Steel vs. the 1.5Ω being Kanthal???

..
There should be a considerable difference in watts, and therefore heat, vapour production, and battery life. What voltage is the AIO fixed at? I was under the impression that it works like a mech, starting out at 4.2v and dropping to 3.2v or so until it shuts off.

Hi! Just thought I'd chime in about my experience with the AIO and a link to a fantastic tutorial for rebuilding the rba for it (and the Cubis tank) by JDLabs. First, here's the link to the rebuild tutorial:

He has modified the build and it looks and sounds like it's way better than the stock Cubis coils by a long shot. This guy is also a fantastic reviewer, no holds barred, he tears devices apart to test for whether it does what it's advertised as capable of doing. If it's not up to par he has no problems saying so. If Phil Busardo has or is going to review it he will only test other parts that go beyond Phil's reviews for it.

Anyway, I haven't done rebuilds for awhile but this looks like one I may have to tackle because I like the AIO but I've had problems with the coils. The two .6 coils I received with it worked great-they lasted about a week while I was also using a couple other devices with it. But the 1.0 coils I bought did not work well at all. I threw away 3 after only a few hours of use for each one because the cotton burned. One that worked lasted about 2 days. I'm now on the last one and have been using it for 2 days.

FWIW, I've been vaping about 3 years so I'm not totally clueless to how and why atomizers work or don't work well. And how the thickness of your e-liquid affects wicking. I think because the stock coils run quit warm it helps to heat up thicker juices (like I use) and wicks better for it.

I was surprised one person on here commented that the flavor was muted with the Clapton.
:-/ I had hoped it would be the opposite since that's the coils claim to fame. I'll probably still try the Clapton 1.5Ω but I'm sold on the stock .6Ω coil that comes with it. And maybe the RBA thanks to JDLabs.

If anyone else has used the Clapton coils I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you, and Cheers!

The difference is BECAUSE of fixed voltage.....the wattage output will differ between the two coils

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping ;)

i have ordered the 1.0 Ohm and the 1.5 Ohm.
I am currently using the 0.6 ohm with Johnson creek smoke juice ( Mercado flavour and sliverthorn) the juice is very thin. so it wicks the .6 with ease but the mercado flavour is very harsh and would not recommend with .6 ohm. I also have RNR vanilla custard and Banana hammock.. will let you you know my experience once i receive the 1.0 ohm and the 1.5 ohms..

Well...you're probably correct about the DT interior width...but...at many sites the "Kanger EVOD PRO Starter Kit" is listed, instead, as the "Kanger EVOD PRO MTL System" (for the same Kit).

And...the sites that carry it usually state something along the lines of..."a specialized Kanger system designed for Mouth To Lung (MTL) style"...
..

Yes, but I think people's definitions of a MTL draw must vary widely. E.g. most reviewers refer to the AIO as having a tight draw suitable mainly for MTL. For me, with the default coil it's nearly unMTLable. So I'm suspicious of a device with such a wide drip tip. Not sure if it has an airflow control or not, but if it's anything like the AIO's it won't make any difference!

The air flow on the AIO can be controlled, As an MTL device it works really well for me. Its not as tight as the Ecom-c or the T22/T18, Yet it works great with a great amount of vapour with an MTL draw. I have also used the RnR banana Hammock flavour with 0.3Mg nict. and it worked great. I have found the the .6mg nict. is a bit harsh on the 0.6ohm coils. I am expecting to receive the 1.5 and 1.0 ohm coils on the 23 of June. Will let you know me experience with these coils once received.
One thing i loved about the AIO is the spiral mouth tip, works great and also restricts air flow.

I think this is another indicator of how people's tastes must vary. I received the 1.5 ohm coils today and find it still too airy. Putting a rubber band around the air holes works quite well, but gets juice on it. Agree about the harshness of 6mg juice with the 0.6 ohm coils. But good that there are different options out there for different people - for me the T18 is perfect.

In researching the AIO before buying...all I ran across was "18W-25W"...whatever that means...

It does not vape like a mech (for me)...the hit I get right-off-the-charger is the same hit I get right-before-it-shuts-off...

EDIT..."best" AIO price (USA) I'm aware of...

Joyetech eGo AIO $14.95

My next tank/battery combo purchase will probably be the (recently announced) Kanger EVOD Pro Starter Kit...

Its main attractions (for me)...4.0ml. tank and replaceable 18650

Other than being an "all in one" device, this is more of a mod and really can't be compared to the Endura18 or the Joyetech AIO, which are smaller, lighter, etc. than a "mod".

If one has a provari or something, there would be little reason to purchase a Kanger Evod Pro starter kit.

The 22mm is much shorter in height.
But the tank length is the same. Has to be or the coils would not fit. It can be longer like the 16mm one is, but not shorter or it would need a different coil. The battery is definitely shorter but 22mm in diameter. The tank I believe is the same length, but also 22mm in diameter. Should give a little more juice capacity.
