On my VT: 250-260ºC with 30W, same build/atty on my SX mini: 220ºC and 20-25J

We all know that the Evic besides delivering more power gets a bit lost with the temp. settings..... thing to get used to. Would be nice if it could go UNDER the 30W.

Using Farenheit on all my mods, but seems we have about the same offset. Around 20% more on the Evic.

I'm fine on 30w being the lowest. Preheats nicely and the device doesn't flutter in the same way as my Kagxin Mini when hitting the temp limit.

1 degree Celsius =
33.8 degrees Fahrenheit

Now i have ten fingers but just couldn't get this coming out right.........:w00t::lol::w00t::lol:

Sorry, well i know that most of you are using F as the measuring unit, i have to do the math to get the results, but here we use ºC...... Still it comes all to the same results. The VT needs a higher temp. setting to get the (almost) same results as some other devices out there. When i saw V1.19 just hoped that some issues were solved......

Waiting for V1.20........

I'm in Europe as well, but still use F. Easier to compare to my other tc mods that don't have C, and the temp setting is really just a number for me. Beyond 100c and below -40 I really can't relate :)

You who have both the Evic and another tc mod, what's your temperature offset? For example, I need to increase my temperature by about 80-100f compared to my other tc mods (Waidea flask, Kangxin Mini - and my SXK rDNA when I still had it).

I have the evic-VT, SX Mini M Class, Vaporshark rDNA40, Sigelei 75 and the Snow Wolf 200. I use the exact same settings on all of them (except for the rDNA40). 45 watts, 520 degrees Fahrenheit. On the rDNA40, I use 35 watts instead. These are the toppers I'm using:

evic-VT - Atlantis 2 with Vaporshark nickel Atlantis coil at 0.15 ohms
SX Mini M Class - Atlantis 2 with vAir-T nickel Atlantis coil at 0.25 ohms
Vaporshark rDNA40 - Origen V2 with 0.1 ohm nickel coil
Sigelei 75 - Freemax Starre Pro with 0.25 ohm nickel coil
Snow Wolf 200 - Triton with Vaporshark nickel Atlantis coi at 0.15 ohms

Do you mean that you need to set the temperature on the Evic higher than on the SX Mini? What's your temp on the SX and what is it on the Evic?

I mean I do the same as you, set my evic around 100 degrees higher just like you.

To follow up on my second dead eVic situation: just learned that the shop I bought it from is now closed for a few months to relocate, their replacement policy is therefore nullified, and Joyetech itself has rejected my RMA due to the original purchase not happening at an "authorized retailer."

In other words, F M L.

Time to go shopping, I guess...

That is a B&M sad story.... I hope you can find a honest vendor to help you.

So, my white Evic arrived today, already have the black one. Performs great, exactly as it should, but the screen is only about 60-70% as bright as my black one. Wonder if it's faulty or if there's a hidden adjustment.
I would really like to bring this back up. I find my screen to be too dim to see in the sun and if im outside, even in the shade, its still really hard to see.

That person I quoted mentioned that the protective plastic was on both their screens.
I'm not talking about the protective plastic sheet you can peel off, nor that persons different brightness between two mods...just the hard to see in sunlight thing. I think it's due to the tinted screen cover :p

Unfortunately, having used the Evic a bit more, it appears that the temp accuracy isn't great. I need to have my Subtank Mini at about 520f to get the same vape as with 450f on my Waidea flask clone.
Another weird thing is that the Ego One Mega seems to like it a lot better on the flask, with a nickel coil (haven't managed to get a titanium coil working quite right yet). Better cloud production without a burnt taste. I'm doing something weird/wrong but I haven't figured out what yet.

Depends what the base res is.. If the flask is .2 high it will be more powerful, but the evic refines. So if the flask doesn't it would be hotter ! .2 makes a big difference from what I've seen

My flask and Kangxin mini give identical results. The SXK rDNA was comparable to them when I still had it. I believe, based on that, that the Evic is inaccurate.

The ohms are displayed the same on the devices.

So all the others read the same atty cold at .08 - not .1? ...

Just you seemed to think it was all good at .1- like the others were reading .1

100° off on ni seems pretty far.. Ti mode is 100° off though - so.... And I don't have other temp mods or nickle.. So I really can say for sure..

Whatever happened to the temp tests that were going to be done by the bloke.. I believe it was.
