Update
Dry rayon test: passed with flying colors at 230C. Vapor disappeared and power was reduced to 1.3W and nothing happened.
Water test... Not so great... Maybe, I have some doubts. It was jumping between 108 and 112C. Should have been 100C but after cleaning the coil and reassembling the atty, resistance went down to 0.44 Ohms (before 0.47) so that could have influenced something.
So right now:
dna 40 reads 0.42 VT reads 0.44
Another atty
dna 40 reads 0.28 VT reads 0.31

Not too surprising, we're dealing with hundredths of an ohm, 2 or 3 in this case. Differences in the smoothness of the 510 center pin, differences in the metals used for the connector or wiring, differences in the thread cut on the 510 connector, etc....all can easily make a difference of a few hundredths of an ohm. And that's before you even consider how the resistance is being measured.
