So, I repurposed the nickel wire out of the burnt mega coil... Cleaned it and built a coil on my sub tank mini and wicked with rayon.....yeah, the mega pales in comparison. Easily twice the flavor. Gotta get ahold of some nickel wire :p
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
I was thinkin about getting some Ti wire until I read your posts. Think I'll go back to squonkin. :)

After 2 and a half days of use, I've settled in on 30W @480F on my Subtank Mini. This is with the Kanger Ni200 OCC. Waiting on my nickel wire to come in the mail so I can finally use my rba. That's when it's going to get real. Lol

Anyone have a suggestion on gauge? I'm thinking about 28.

Decided to bust out the powder coat gun on the subtank. Didn't want to wait for Kanger to release the black version separately!

That looks killer, with the red orings, looks like they was made for each other, even though they are made by different companies.

    Update:

2 days of use and battery is down to 25%

    Total puffs: 978
    Total seconds: 3872

Going to keep vaping until it's empty. I get one and a half days on my dna 40 and a Samsung 2 500mah. I'm vaping more though because of the novelty and trying different atties and builds.

My average used to be 300-350 puffs a day in the old days so 978 in two days is a severe increase.

    Regards
    Tony

Awesome man. I knew you were talking about it. That looks killer. Let me know how it holds up

Thanks! Only two downsides so far...the powder coat seized the airflow ring in place and secondly I busted two replacement tank glasses finding one that fit over the thickness the powdercoat added. But I knew that was a risk, so made sure it was in full airflow, as that's the only setting I use. I can likely free it with a razor blade, but don't see the need at this point. Now I want a second Evic, so I can seize one of my other subtanks! Or maybe I'll just buy some cerakote and try that.

I'm planning to buy some nickel wire to build my lemo drop and i try this steam engine to see what gauges to use but this come out crazy…am i doing it wrong…36 wraps!!!!!

It's because you have set to 0.5ohms. Normal nickle build would be .2 or lower for 28g look at something like .15 or similar.

That is about right. Why would you want a 0.5 ohm coil? That is a very high resistance for a TC coil. If you wanted a reasonable 0.1 ohm coil it would be only 7 wraps.

The eVic thread isn't getting any love I guess the DNA 200 is gonna be King of the Hill now. I have been following that thread and it seems more like a pissing contest going on. I get the draw to all these huge power boards and upgradeable firmware etc but ultimately I want a device that suit my needs and works accurately at a good price point and is built good. I think the eVic has fit the bill so far for me. I have had the SX Mini, VS, VF, Hana, IPV4 and all the other mods and my eVic is the mod I carry the most right now. I like how Joyetech has came out with all these great kits for the eGo one, eGrip and eVic VT

Those rubes can pay $200 a mod all they want, it's those that discern quality from a "name" that continue the movement and affordable pricing. I just talked to one of my B&M's that said he just dumped his vapor shark because it could never provide a temp he liked...too cool. Hit my Evic, and said it was the best TP mod he's hit to date.
