I am still on the fence with this one. I mean, I have the SX-M and it is serving me quite well. Have no real use for Ti, other than to try it. I also still have my iStick50, and a couple mechs. Debating on just picking up one of the white Subox kits. I love the looks of that, and my ST-Mini has been my go-to for months and months. I am sad that they are going away from the horizontal coils though. I too get at least a week of use from the OCC heads. After that, I clean them up and rewick them a couple times. I can get a month out of one head easily. I have tried to rebuild the Atlantis coils a few times. I've managed to do it, but it never works like they did from the factory. The OCC heads are a breeze. I keep a stock ready to rebuild, and it takes me no time. Oh well, I would also have two of the ST-Mini rebuildable sections, so no biggie I guess. Choices, choices, choices...

I am digging the reviews and such you guys are putting in here though. Keep it up! I do love to see a product that looks and functions great, at this price point.

The current sale price in the states is ridiculous. I only paid 10 dollars more than I paid for the i50. And the number of additional features over the i50 is awesome. Too many to list right now...

I opted for free shipping from eciggity to save 6.00 to put toward a hotcig FEV 3. Hope I don't have to wait too long for my cheapness. Shipping out of Hawaii could get me; hope its here in a week.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I just rinsed out my Ego One Mega tank and waiting for it to dry to try out those nickle coils later this evening.

I opted for mod only..

My flash e-vapor v2 & 3 will be perched uptop 99% of the time. With these I have no need for other tanks.

But a quick nickle/Ti sample would have been nice. I'll be using kanthal till I venture to TP.. Temp protect will be great in the winter with VG.

I loved the size of the istick50 so this will fit right in.

I just received mine, and boy was PB right: this thing is simple! I wasn't sure how the whole 30watt minimum thing was going to work, but it works fine. Basically wattage controls how fast it gets to your set temperature, then Temp Protection takes over, simple! At 30 watts/300°, and restricted air flow, It works great as a "tootle puffer", or crank up the heat and air flow and it works equally as well as a simi-Cloud Chaser. I don't think anyone will have a problem getting their preferred vape out of this device. At 50watts/440° it feels almost identical to my DNA40 at 30watts/440°, and at 60watts I like the eVic even more! (I may have to go back and play with my DNA some to see if I can get it to replicate the vape I'm getting out of the eVic)

First impression of the eGo ONE Mega is pretty good, too. Flavor isn't on par with my Kayfuns, but totally acceptable. It too works pretty well at both ends of the power scale, especially at tootle puffer settings. And I love the airflow control, although it is a little noisy.

The Subtanks included in the Subox kit does comes with the new vertical coils, but you can't get replacement vertical coils yet (and those coils are Kanthal, not nickel). That's why I said that it will be a while before you can start buying vertical replacement coils. The nickel OCC's are all the old style horizontal coil. And since they just recently started making the OCC with horizontal nickel coils, do you think they will automatically stop production and start cranking them out with vertical coils? How long will it be before we start seeing vertical nickel coils available?
I emailed kanger and the new vertical coils should be available everywhere within a month along with the black and white subtank minis which you can already preorder.

Are you saying there is a 20 watt difference in power output? The eVic VT at 50w feels like the DNA 40 at 30w? That does not sound very promising, I would assume the eVic is less accurate?

I think that's because in temp control mode, the wattage is kinda meaningless, since once you hit your preset temperature, the wattage is limited anyways. Also, with the DNA40, even though you have the wattage set at 30 watts, when you fire the mod, the DNA40 chip does allow the mod to exceed the preset wattage so it can ramp up quicker.

Evic VT Oscope testing

Fast forward to 18min for testing.. Of course its not in English. Thanks Germany.

Dirk Oberhaus is the Phil Busardo of Germany...

At least it's accurate. I like that it doesn't use modulation to regulate temperature.

No, I'm saying that at my settings the "pre-heat" of the DNA amounts to about 10-20 watts, and the "temp protection" of the eVic works smoothly. I never used my DNA40 like I am the eVic. For some reason I thought the DNA cut power back quite drastically when it hit temp protection, so I always set the wattage to where it wouldn't reach my set temp. I'm going to play around with them some more when I get time. I may have been using my DNA wrong all along.

I've got 5 different tanks going, 3 different wire materials, 3 different nic strengths of the same juice, and 3 different devices...this nic buzz has rendered my testing results meaningless!

don't ya just love Vape-Mail days?
yesterday was my first full day with the evic-VT and with hitting it hard all day long along with my rDNA40 and my SX Mini to compare the three, I went through about 15 or 16 mls of juice, which is double my regular usage.

Eciggity appears to ONLY have the "express kit" for $59.99. This includes the mod, USB cord and silicone sleeve. There is sure to be an active discount code somewhere...

Joyetech eVic-VT Express Kit - Eciggity

Ah, I didn't notice the full kit wasn't even listed. Thank you, though I was asking more because I went ahead and pulled the trigger last night without double checking if anyone had received a tracking number yet, like if they were actually AT eciggity's warehouse/storefront/HQ and ready to ship upon order processing, or if it was more of a "we're supposed to be receiving our stock very very shortly, no harm in not listing it as a pre-order" situation....not that eciggity has EVER had anything less than absolutely STELLAR customer service in my experience, but as this is my first TC mod and I've been following it since it was first announced, I haven't been this excited about a release since....well, ever. No worries, nothing more than a case of the couple days between ordering and receiving feeling longer than the whole couple months leading up to release! I'll post back here when I receive my shipping confirmation in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.

Also, the coupon code "10percentoff" brings the price to around $53 shipped ;-)

EDIT: Well, I feel silly. Literally as I typed this post I received the email saying my order has been scheduled to ship along with a tracking number. I suppose that answers that, thank you anyway!
