Katya, I tried with what I could. I'm not a chemist.

You may doubt it is cyanoacrylate, but you can't say it's not.

I didn't say it wasn't. I think you misunderstood my response... I didn't mean to argue with you. I just tried to express my disgust over the possiblity that someone would actually put superglue in a cartomizer...

Anybody, how do you say "yuck" in Portuguese????

This is what happens when two non-native speakers try to discuss chemistry...

Hey Tarkitana, I just ordered a few of these (Still waiting for them to arrive) and the thought of vaping SuperGlue kind of scares me.

Would dry burning them with the plastic housing off get rid of most of the glue or do you feel replacing the wick is the only option?

Also, what technique did you use to remove the plastic housing from the metal part / Atty? I don't wanna mess with needles etc and I'd rather just pull the plastic off and not mess with all the caps.

Yeah I had seen that video, guess I'll be doing some trial and error with these things.

My only worry is

A: The glue. I'm hoping they don't blow if I pre burn just to remove the glue that might be on the wick. Would a Butane lighter work for this instead?

B: I'm thinking of finding a replacement for the poly fill. I hear you can buy metal mesh like in regular atty's for cheap. Maybe stuff that area with the metal mesh and have it touching the wick instead of the poly fill. It probably won't hold as much juice, but what juice it does hold might find its way to the atty faster.

Ok, so YES their is glue near the end of the wick, not good... Took some muscle and wiggle to break the plastic away from the atty piece, but it snaps back together with no leaking so that's a plus and makes filling super easy.

After 2 drags in a row the plastic melted through just above the metal. I'm only using 3.7 on a CHUCK, the vapor I'm getting is fairly cool so looks like these things need to head back to the drawing board.

I say the same. I love the Boge 510 Cartos (2.5). I also like the 2.5 Bauway Cartos. I find the preformance is outstanding. I cant complain. JFYI..... I use them on reg 650 and 900 mah Ego Bats. They provide good Vapor production and TH in my OP. Also with with this resistance, I dont burn out my bats and I dont eat up juice like crazy.

my tip: get the boge cartos or something similar and easier to fill. i still have 6 or 7 of the joye cartos. i dont want to use them. i dont want to even sell them to my friends.

Wow...I posted this comment before I realized where this thread was heading....funny how threads start out as one thing and then wind up as a whole different animal......sorry...hmmm..

Primalrib. sorry for taking so long to answer. I've been testing my recently arrived CE2s Rev.5 and I'm amazed with the flavor.

Yes, that's the way I was doing. I'd like to remind that if you keep it heating for too much time without the housing, there's another problem: the cub below the coil is made of plastic, and it melts leaving a small hole right below the coil.
I don't think it will affect functionality.
I burned also with a torch lighter because the coil heat seem not to be enough to reach the edges of the wick. I I am not sure if it is really necessary because if the coil doesn't burn the glue in a dry wick, why would it burn when it is wet ?
Maybe is just my mind, but I feel uncomfortable knowing the glue is there.

Be careful about how long you will keep it under the torch flame not to melt the entire plastic cup.

Replacing the wick is an option and I am still trying to find the best solution. Any ideas, please post here.

hey i have an idea. maybe someone should create a tool to fill these with that i could buy. i have 5 cartomizers here empty and unused because i've watched 7 videos and tried to dissect 19 posts of peoples ideas on how to fill these. everything requires ......ed amounts of household tool-wizardry, spatial ability, and "man" skillz. im totally frustrated.
