1st post (after D of course) yay!

I got my stainless steel pipe in today. It came UPS. My husband went to work cutting. Here's what I've got :)
Seriously put a P-18 with a SS tank on it beside a P-18 with a polycarbonate tank on it......... we all know which one looks sexier.

Pay extra special attention to the 3 mods on the left. The P-18, P-16, & P+ 18350 (P-10 & T1 are in the usps hands at the moment)

I am officially done with polycarbonate FOREVER.

There's a video on YouTube showing how to use an atty instead of a carto in a tank. Although that's what I thought I wanted, I'm seriously rethinking that idea.

For starters, attys cost between $3 and $7 depending on whether you get them here or from China. Cartos cost $1 or less. Rebuildable attys is another story, they'd last longer of course. Next, the diameter of attys and cartos seems to be different, the atty being skinnier even with its cover/mouthpiece on it. Don't ask me why the atty isn't flooding in the tank but here's the video:

Lastly, because David has provided us with such beautiful all-mechanical Mods, I think it's only fair that we give him no less than one full week to make us a Super-T Tank to match all our fabulous Super-T Mods!

I'm getting a new tank tomorrow and will try the 306 LR atty in it and let you know how that goes. Sure hope it's not too skinny for the tank holes. Now if these rebuildable atty tanks work well, that could be the best option for these tanks. Even if the attys are more expensive, if they can be rebuilt they could end up cheaper than cartos.

Now one thing about using an atty. It's not got steel built all around it, so punching that plastic cover is really easy. Just don't try to go thru the first hole all the way thru the other side too because it split my atty cover on that other side, and it was even lying flush on the table. I don't think it ruined things because when I turned it over to punch it again, the 'slice' in the plastic just sealed up when I was done.

I will be watching this thread very very closely. I don't have a P18 but have seen how the tank I have looks on one. I would love to see David create something that could use either atties or cartos similar to what another Hellenic member here has created with his mods. The idea of a replacement topcap to save on overall length is also brilliant with the exception, that it would require a different topcap for each of David's mods.

FWIW, here is my setup. The 4ml stainless Depth Charge from Vapor-Age on my Omega.

It would be nice if you unscrewed the top cap off of your Supert mod and screwed on a tank that way it flowed and would cut down on the length. That would be my dream mod and tank.

An exceptional idea!A 18xxx cap would fit the 18650,18500,18350,that would be very nice indeed
It would require a different cap for the P16340 tho,But I'd spring for one of those too

I think it would only be two different tanks because I highly doubt he would make a tank for the p10 but I could be wrong, so it would just be an incorporated top cap tank for the p16 and then all the other 3 would all fit the same since they are all 18*** battery mods. ya know, it would be cool if he made a p10 tank as well, even if it only held an extra ml of liquid it would be neat. I kinda think its a must to have the incorporated top cap on a superT tank, streamline is what david is all about.

Hey Jen, can you please provide us a link on where to buy the SS tubing?

Thanks for the pics everyone!

Does anyone have problems with leaking through the Orings? How about problems with metallic taste with the atomizer sitting in the liquid? Stainless steel and titanium atomizers etc aren't really made of those metals in most cases, they are just cheap pot metal coated to look like those metals so i was wondering what peoples thoughts on those are?

I use delrin and stainless tanks and I've never experienced any of that.

I have never experienced a metallic taste but I have had juice change color very quickly when in a tank, not sure what that is about, there are some theories but not sure. I have not had leaking at the orings either, the only time I had leaking was when I flooded the atty or carto and then the excess liquid comes out the bottom of the carto.

On another note, I just had my first poly tank crack, at least it is suppose to be polycarbonATE, must be the acid in the lemonade.

I find that the juice changes only on the darker juices. I have not had any tubes crack yet. I buy my own through mcmaster carr. I have never had a leak either. I take care if the orings and change them at the first sign of wear. I also use a tapered drip tip when running the carto through the caps. This stops the damaged to the inside oring
