The cyclone I got just yesterday from Mountain Oak Vapor does have the drain hole at the deck level, they also have 70 something of them in stock still, I know cuz I just ordered a couple more as the more I vape this the more I love it and I had horrible "what if" visions going through my head about dropping it and ruining the only 1 I have LOL :)

I dropped by Vicous Ant's office yesterday and got one. Apparently, the local dealers don't carry the bottom-fed version so I had to get one directly from Vicious Ant. Cost me about $49. :) I'm now on the hunt for an AFC cap. They didn't have one laying around the office so I have to go to one of their authorized dealers.

I haven't built it yet since I sent it to my friend who has a machine shop to drill an extra feed hole. My experience with the Hornet has taught me that if the feed hole is anywhere but on the bottom of the post (or deck-level) there is a tendency for fluid to remain on the deck. It won't flood but it causes performance to vary and adds a risk of spilling juice from the feed hole. I won't get it until me and my friend meets again (which may take a few weeks).

I'm in no rush though. This will go on a new Grand I'm planning to buy when the new contacts are out. The RM2 is serving me well anyway at the moment.

My Hornet works great. Feedhole at the base, no flooding issues. I like the tapered cap as it warms the vapor better than my RM2 IMO. Very similar to the Divo. I wish the Divo diameter was just a bit smaller or I would jump on getting one.

Wait... how low is your feed holes on your Cyclones? Mine is about 2mms or so off the deck from memory. It's nowhere near as low as this one:

I got this one from MOV a couple months ago. I just ordered another so I'm curious to see where the hole is in the new one.
This one doesn't give me flooding issues at all though.

Mine might be a bit higher than the one you have on your photo. I was pretty sure I could fit a 1mm hole at deck level and still have another 1mm of space from the stock feed hole. Maybe I got old stock returned from their local dealers. Very few vapers here use bottom-feeders.

Ernest if you look closely at that pic of my VV grand there you can see the extra hole drilled. I'm using the old feed hole for wire capture :)

Yep I know. So my feed hole is at the same position as yours. I saved your photo as reference to show the machine shop where to drill the extra feed hole. :)

wow that's cool that they modded it now, that's why when I bought all my cyclones I purposely sourced non bf so I could drill them myself, well that and the fact that they didn't sell a bf afc combo :) the new feed holes look much better than the first gen's I think, a little off the deck might not be so bad but the first ones were really too high I think :)
