I would suggest (seeing as you like the tanks) one of these to try out and a LR Clearomizer (they are really easy to fill and maintain) or 2 :).

Edit: Liquid generally lasts between 3ml - 6ml a day for people. Bear in mind though that you may not really like a flavour or two that you buy. What strength liquid are you getting?

I was going to get the 18mg. I like the cartomizers that you linked, but I can get the others in a 5 pack for a little cheaper. I just want to make sure the ones I chose aren't going to be horrible to fill or not fit with the rest of the stuff.

These will be fillable with the bottles. You won't need a syringe or anything special.

How much juice you use, depends on how much you used to smoke, what the nic content is and how hot you're vaping.

Rule of thumb is that most moderate vapers go through from about 3 to 5 ml per day.

It's usually a little more expensive to buy the batteries separately once you add in the charger and cartomizers. The vendors pretty much make sure their kits are less expensive than the separate components.

You should add 2 more things though. One or two atomizers. You want at least one atomizer to test your juice before you fill a carto with it. Once you fill a carto, it's committed to that flavor. If you are going to be trying a lot of flavors, you should pick up a box of Boge 2ohm cartomizers. These megas that come with the kit are very large and should be saved for your favorite flavors. The "debridged" atomizers are on the accessory page and are ideal for testing juices by dripping a few drops straight onto the atomizer.

Also, get at least one drip tip. Use it with the atomizer to test flavors and put it on your cartomizers so you don't have to wrap your lips around the cartomizer itself. It also helps with topping off the cartomizer to prevent it from drying out. Otherwise you have to pry the plug off the end every time you add a couple drops.

So, with about $15 or so in these extras, you'll be set.

I just realized you were getting extra mega cartos.
Might want to reconsider having only mega's unless you have an atomizer or two to test juice with.

What happens when you fill up a mega with some juice you haven't made sure that you really like?
One 5ml carto down the drain, unless you go through the hassle of trying to clean it, which rarely works well and is a PITA.

Also, those megas are quite low resistance at 1.7. Not all juice is going to taste right with that low of a resistance. Might want to consider something 2ohms to 2.5ohms. That's where the cheaper, standard sized Boges are good to have around.

Hi I have been vaping two years and I am still learning. It amazes me all the new stuff coming out. I have an 1100 kit
With a 1.5 lr Atomizer and drip tip. I love it. I think that's where I get the most flavor.
I tried the tanks but mine always needed to be worked on. It either leaked or I couldnt get anything out of it.
I soon found the dripping method and I am happy with that. I think the 1100 is the best because it will stay charged all day
Plus it just hits well. I order juice from thevaporhut.com and I think it's really good compared to others I have tried. Vanilla bean ice cream us my favourite! All I'd their juice is a vg/ pg blend. You should try them out. Good luck on vaping. It's an awesome thing. You will not want an analog cig after you vape some really good juice!!!

Okay so, I added these to the list:
Regular Boge 510 Cartomizers 2.0 ohm
2.0 ohm 510 Atomizer Black & Stainless
Transparent Plastic Drip Tip

And these were the other two:
Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers
KGO Mega Dual Coil Kit 1100mah

It looks like everything should fit together. That 5 pack of cartomizers doesn't list kGo only ego/riva. Will it still fit?

Yep. Now you got it. Any cartomizer or atomizer that specifies it works with a 510 connection will fit your kGo.

The only slight revision I'd make is to get the "Debridged" atomizer that is on the same page. You will be dripping to test juice and a debridged atomizer is better for that.

Other than that, you're set.

The Boges you chose are fine. They're kind of the standard of the industry. Nothing fancy, but reliable, economical and last a decent length of time.

The atomizer is up to you. If you are testing juice, it will take a while for one juice to "clear" so that you can taste the next one properly. If you have a couple of atomizers, it makes it more convenient. Or, you can just vape through it and the old flavor will go away eventually and let the new flavor come through. It's up to you. The debridged atomizers don't hold the old flavor as long as the other ones, so it's not a huge issue.

For a solid starter, you have chosen a good setup. You can always experiment with clearomizers, tanks, etc. in the future. For now, you have all the staples covered.

Good luck with it. You'll like it way more than the ciggy thing. Guaranteed. Let us know when you try it out.

You all were very kind and helpful. It's much appreciated being a newbie. I'm trying really hard not to smoke regular cigarettes (analogs?? so much lingo lol), but it's hard. I don't really feel I'm getting the nicotine or the best flavor. Going to do my best though until I can drop the money for the new stuff, hopefully in a week or two more. Even less cigarettes a day is better than continuing to smoke a pack.
Thanks again for your help. Everyone here seems way awesome and helpful.

BTW, Sarah, While you're waiting for your kGo, go over to Youtube and search for the "condom method" for filling cartomizers. It's the easiest, fastest, no hassle way to fill cartomizers and no, you don't need condoms to do it. You can use a syringe, or fill them drop by drop and wait for the juice to soak in, but the condom method is quick, easy and accurate. I used it all the time for Boge cartos and I'm sure it will work just as well for the Mega cartos.

Ginosmama and I are sitting here cheering you on. I almost wish we could talk to you to help walk you through it! LOL! Great job on the recs sailor. I so wish we had someone doing this for us when we were placing the order. We might have gone that route as well instead of buying the atty/cartridge kit and then needing to buy cartos. The atty/cart system is garbage! She has had success with the clearomizer lately, but that's for after you have this figured out. Btw, I have 2 smok tech 1.5ohm debridged attys and love them for dripping.

That is a good video. I'm off to look for one that will teach me how to fill tanks. Zero and sailor, you guys are amazing. I rarely order something like this without as much research and feedback as I can get. I chose tanks because I want something I don't have to refill constantly, and your recommendations on batteries seems like an awesome one. I can't wait to order and try this stuff out.

Good God woman, you're off to an incredibly good start. Miles ahead of most.

Other options you might eventually try, but certainly don't need to, are things like:

a Joyetech eGo-C atomizer and tank system; for about $25 you could see what it's about, and you might like it as nice in-between size - smaller than some of the tank/cartomizers you'll be hearing about, but more convenient than a cartomizer, which you really need to keep wet in order to avoid the harsh, dry hits;

a power unit like the Smok-tech e-Power that uses replaceable, generic batteries and has a replaceable switch;

Variable voltage devices like the Provari that lets you vape at higher voltages; that allows you to use higher-resistance atomizers, and gives a more productive, most say more enjoyable vape;

but for now, you're in great shape.

Maybe you'll eventually (or not so eventually) upgrade, and pass your present rig off to a friend who wants to quit ciggies; I think we've all got some of those.

Anyway, enjoy your new life, and rest assured that in all likelihood you will simply not desire ciggies any more, since vaping is simply more enjoyable.

Have fun :)

I rarely do things in a small way, haha. And while I'm disappointed with the ecigs I just purchased, I learned from it within minutes thankfully. While it was 40$ for the stuff I bought, at least it wasn't 100+ on some hyped up kit from another place. I've gotten some really great recommendations from you guys today and I certainly will be hanging out in the forums to learn more, though my username will change because I didn't realize it was using my real name (already put in my request).

I am really satisfied right now that the setup you helped me choose is going to be really perfect. I have children at home and I really need something that will last me through the day. I'm still going to try to go outside with this, but it will be great to not have to refill alot and just grab it and go.

Do you guys have any other flavors that you recommend? I chose the tabacco sampler pack, but the coffee ones and fruit ones look yummy too.

There are literally tons of great vamping vids out there. Google and YouTube will be your friend even AFTER you decide and place your order. Here's the really cool thing - aside from all the benefits of giving up analogs for good, you will spend much less coin on a PV with juice long term unless you go crazy buying new accessories and add-ons all the time. One more tip - spend a few bucks on a good drip tip (no pun intended). It's the part that touches your mouth and cheap plastic that doesn't fit well will get old fast. My buddy has this one Marble 510Drip Tips and I loved it so much I bought one too! Type 2 vase style is my preference. Happy to help.

The mega cartos (all that I have bought) come with a plug instead of a cap, so the condom fill will not work for them. However, the opening is larger than a std 510 carto, so they are easy to fill from the bottle. Just leave the plug in and drip away until it wont absorb any more juice. Remove the plug and blow through the mouth end to clear the airway and you are good to go.

Juice is the hardest thing to settle on. I've been vaping for 2 years and still don't have any particular favorite that I'm happy with all day. So, I decided to make my own. At least I save a bunch of cash and have only myself to blame if it turns out yuccky!

Don't limit yourself to tobacco flavors though. You'll find that if you start trying different flavors, you'll lose your taste for tobacco, even if not 100%. I think most of us do. There are still some hardcore tobacco flavor fans, but most of us vape other stuff way more than tobacco. Tobacco flavors NEVER taste like your favorite cigarette anyway, so the sooner you give up on trying to find something that tastes like that good old Camel or Marlboro, the better off you'll be and the sooner you can enjoy vaping all the other flavors that are out there.

Coffee is tricky. It seems like some places get it right, but a lot don't. Fruit is easier. That's my preference anymore.

The only way to start with juice is to buy samples of everything that sounds good from every reputable vendor you can afford. Buy just 5ml-10ml until you know you like something. The quest for the "perfect" e-juice never ends.
Look for deals. They come up frequently. Right now, the best deal I know of is 10ml bottles for $0.99 from Goodprophets.com
I can't make my own juice that cheap, so I stocked up even though I never even tried their juice before. For a dime a ml, how bad can it be?

I thought the flavor of the week from The Vapor Room was a good deal @ .33/mL. $10 for 30mL. WOW, .99 for 10mL?? What's the quality like?

Honestly, I'm not sure yet. They have a good rep for everything else and for that price, even if it's terrible I can probably fix it with the DIY stuff I have. I should know in a couple days.

Oh, and there's no limit, so the variety is dwindling fast. If you want to check it out, best hurry before nothing but roast chicken is left.
