A shorted coil can cause no end of problems. Normally, the battery just blinks to let you know something is wrong (not the same blink pattern to let you know it's time to recharge).
Ben, question. Remember a member called Garemen(?)? He had a similar problem. His batteries would just shut down, and only by putting it on the charger could the bat again fire. Just like this one.
Now, I haven't had a shorted coil, but I can short the bat, just to test. It blinks 4 or 5, then works fine, no reset on the charger necessary. But Garamen's and Penguins didn't blink.
Could the circuitry be detecting something different? Have you heard of any other case like this? I could rig a rheostat or an attenuator and test it, but thought I'd ask you first. Thanks!
