I don't know, but I think you guys are way over thinking this, why bleaching is better, someone please tell me, tried both 'packed' & 'unpacked' fiber and can't find any difference, it pulls apart so easy
I agree, have 3 Rockets and 3 Foggers going, rewick them every 5 to 7 days. No problem. Takes a few minutes to rewick.:) BTW the three with vertical cones are still better IMO.

Mine matted up and formed hard clumps on my first go around. It was hard to pull apart.

Whatever works for ya, this works for me.

I am interested in how you are building your Floggers though. I just got one and made the mistake of using the wick they sent. Blegggghhhh, I forgot how bad SS mesh tasted its been so long.

I agree use what works for you. I think clumped and matted is a relative term. From the all the pics I have seen of BJ's hemp it's all relatively "fluffy" compared to my first batch.

So all you haters go and get a batch nice and wet and pack it tight like you were squeezing all the water you could out of it and then go dry it. Pretty sure when it was dry you could throw it thru your effing window, besides being a complete sob to try to pull apart.

So go don't overthink that ;)

Edit - maybe not BJ and his bullet proof windows :D

I cut off the center air tube that come up under the coil and removed the silicon.

I am embarrassed admitting how long I raved about 500 mesh....

Yeah, I had no clue SS tasted so bad until I tried AO and REALLY started to taste my juice, now I can stand SS. Hemp is working good for me though, which really did surprise me, I never thought a filler/packing material would work well after my experience with cartos. I still get better flavor out of AO, but the stronger hit from these VNH coils won me over.

Actually really glad to get away from SS for the safety factor as well. I dont have a problem with shorts or hot spots with AO or hemp. Electrically SS always felt edgy to me. I understand oxidation resistance and all of that, but still, it is a conductive medium. Probably the main reason I never really warmed up to mechanicals until I discovered AO.

discussing cleaning and drying methods and results is overthinking? hell in that case I'm really thankful for all the overthinking that goes on in this forum, overthinking leads to improvements and what makes the vape get better and better, overthinking is why you're not vaping from a carto on an ego right now...

Actually that is what we are making with all our turbo verticals. We are back to a carto in a tank....;)

I got some hemp cloth and re did a few cartos with hemp cloth diapers and hemp fiber filler for a few friends that love their carto tanks. Why did I do that!!! Now they all want more.:(

Hemp cloth, future co-op? Tibs:D

Oh you meant BJ....well I will answer :D

If you pull a carto apart there is some kind of cloth wrapped around the coil (diaper) and then a filler between the "diaper" and the carto tube.
