So i am getting more vape with the ramie......but man it taste like crap till it breaks in. Did the oxy and 3 boils. What else can be done to help with the taste?

Have not had any bad flavor and mine was just washed in dish soap and boiled. Yes like all wicks it took a little while at lower watts to break in. Is Ramie better than Hemp? IMO they are both excellent, just different. Side by side same setups after a week on each, there is a flavor difference. I can identify which is which blindfolded. IMO the ramie is a cleaner taste but I also like that little something hemp adds to my tobacco flavors. I will be using both....:)

could just be my set up also as i am use to the fiber of the hemp and not the ramie. Wish i could find the ramie fiber. But yes BJ after the first 2mls its great, i am just use to the hemp break in taste and not this. Cant wait to see how ling its last. I am half way done with the first tank with the ressian 91.

Will give the Ramie wick a try soon, my Squape's are due in today. Oxy-cleaned and rinsed the heck of some and let it airdry overnight in preparation.

It is just really hard to wean myself off of AO. I rarely use a through-the-center fiber wick of any sort. I have used hemp as a packing and feeder quite successfully though.

Just built a Kayfun last night with an AO wick, a 1.7 ohm coil, and very loose hemp packing along side of the AO lengthways (vs just the ends like I do on the TGTs). 1.7 ohm is one more wrap of Kanthal than I typically use but I am here to tell, this thing is vaping clouds. More vapor than I am used to, and the nice clean AO flavor.

Curious how the Squapes work for you. I looked at the pics and those juice channels with the air hole lower just seemed wrong to me. You have gravity fed drainage ditches direct to a drainage hole.:D For a real test when you get a chance put a dual in the TGT with Ramie...:)

Now that you mention it, I also have another TGT being delivered in the same shipment. I am reluctant to tear one my perfectly functioning AO powered TGTs apart so this new one might be a good candidate.

Also a good candidate to try dual coils. Only every done duals in a genny or a dripper before.
What specs are working out for you in the TGT Bap? Looks like about 10 wraps, of 29g? What did it ohm out to?
Did either of you come up with a repeatable way to gauge how much ramie you are stuffing in there?

Duals in the gennies or drippers never did it for me. Now in the TGT wow!!! I did dual 10 wraps of 30g came out at 1ohm. On the ramie I pull off some strands about 3 times the dia of my coil and roll the end tight between my fingers to thread it thru the coil. A little saliva or juice helps.:)

i don't print labels for a thousand participants - no way, no how ;)

but i sent a request for a quote for 2 kgs ;)

This is probably the last of the organic fibers. I tested the jute and the linen and they were inferior to hemp. The ramie is right up there at the top and if the degummed fiber is better than the top it will be on top....:D

And on top of all that, the top is all white and purty

Has anyone ordered ramie top through Woolery? I thought I got the link from a post on here.. Anyways earlier I posted they were out of stock indefinitely and I received this update yesterday:

We just spoke with the distributor. The container with the Raime top is clearing customer. It should be shipping to us next week. We should have shipping to you within 2 weeks or so. Please let us know if this is ok with you.
Thank you
Have a great day
Chris R

I kind of wanted to give it a shot with y'all before any co-op business beings :)
