Vapemail arrived... 100gm of Ramie tops and 40g of Ramie noil. Washed 10g of the noil, it was clear on second boil. Really well degummed, almost as white as the tops.

roughly $70 shipped for 1kg divided by 35 to get 1oz portions gets us to 2 bucks. add about $3.00 for shipping and handling brings the total to $5.00 - not much of a savings compared to the woolery unless their shipping is way up there .....
Think I am going wait for the next great fiber find. That way can use up most of the hemp I have from the last buy. Heck, still have 189 cotton balls for backup. lmao.
Have sent out a few inquires here in the great white north to see if I can get some here.

Can't find where the Woolery sells the degummed fiber, they only list the ramie top.
If 2 kilos is the same shipping it would bring the price down.. 70 peoples at 1 oz...

do you think degummed might be so much better to justify paying almost as much for 1oz as for 4oz of top?
It was with hemp. I do not like to recommend anything I have not tested before, so I can't say it is better. The ramie top is very good, excellent thru the coils. I just have a gut feeling that the degummed ramie would be better in the vertical coils for packing. Go for the top as a sure thing and wait until someone gets some plain fiber and tests it. I am still looking...

So have you found the degummed ramie? I also would think it better for a vertical coil. For me in a vert coil the degummed hemp is wicking better than the ramie. Now if i had some degummed ramie..........that might be very nice
I guess I can say that the Ramie is durable. Both the TGT dual horizontal and the Russian vertical have lasted 2 weeks of heavy vaping at high watts. Both are still going strong with great flavor.

Got a pic of the vertical coil set up using Ramie? Hadn't tried that yet. Doing the dual TGT, but didn't want to redo other perfectly working coils, yet.
@BJ Got the noil from the UK - Adelaide Walker. Sorry, brought their last sample packs (10g) and they out of the big bags.
Was only a few pound for shipping, way cheaper for me than from the US and arrived in 5 days
