Quote: The stuff from canada seems to be in a class by itself. It is very soft, almost feels like cotton. The stands are loosely wrapped and the overall thread is softer and more pliable then the other hemp that has been boiled.

The orders I originally got from lovepedal were like that, very soft. It seems that when they ran out, their new supply was the stiff, not as good.

They want $11+ shipping for a $4.50 ball of twine. Is there anywhere in the US that sells this stuff? I would really like to try it but I not about to pay $11 shipping. :(

But its a big ball of twine :D.....I rationalized it by the overall price of $15 not being a huge expense...I have spent more for less many times :D

I guess it's a matter of principle. I won't pay more for shipping than the item I'm buying because it makes me feel like I'm being gouged. I realize that it's coming from Canada but I live just over the boarder.

So just reporting back after trying the 24 hour soak in juice. It helped a little bit. Not much, but noticeable. I only had to vape about 1ml before it stopped tasting like I was chewing on a piece of rope like it was chewing gum. I wish I enjoyed the "earthy" taste like others do but I don't. Oh well maybe a longer soak next time. Performance wise it's still wicking like a beast.

Same here with the 24 hour soak. Took about a mil of joose to get past the rope taste with unflavored joose. Next one will be soaking in a strong tobacco joose and we'll see how that does. :>)

Well, I just made a 3.1ohm coil with 16mm kanthal, doubled the lovepetal 1mm hemp and put it into my IGO-L, attached it to my vamo. At 7.5 to 8.0 watts, diy bavarian cream (loranns) at 13% flavor, 40PG/60VG. Boiled the hemp three times with rinsing between boils. First two boils at 10 minutes each and the last boil at about 20 minutes. Rinsed with distilled water and hung to dry overnight. I think I love the hemp. It doesn't seem to wick as well as the silica, but I will give it a few minutes and play around with the watts and air hole. I am getting a little off flavor but hopeful.

We pay the same in Canada. 11.40$ for standard shipping 4-8 business days. Yeah we have the option to pay 6.80$ for economy shipping, ETA 1 to 4 weeks. Canada Post sucks for all. US or CA. :)

I bought some of this twine some time ago. Didn't find it to wick very well in a genny, and put it aside in favor of cotton. Does look to me that it is likely 12 strand hemp though, so I wonder if it is indeed hemp.

I did rebuild a couple of old ce3's that I had laying around to see how they would work with organic wicks. One with cotton, and another with some unraveled hemp twine from Micheal's. The improvement in performance over silica in these bottom coils is astounding. So much so that I have some evods and protanks incoming specifically for use with organic wicks.

That's NOT hemp....I've tried something similar that said it was 100% cotton but it tasted awful to me and did not wick well. Your better off just ordering from lovepedel on ebay and getting the real deal. I've not used mine yet but its all boiled up and on standby when needed.

Hi all,
For my knot tying (rope work) i use hemp cords soaked in pine tar, which is done to make the cord weather resistant. I was wondering if anyone has tried to smoke hemp like that.
Im a pipe smoker, and one of my favourite tobaccos is Latakia. In the production process this tobacco gets smoked, hanging over burning little pieces of pinewood. Got me thinking...

Here's the link of the shop where I bought the hemp:

It's official. I am now a total hemp convert.

I've tried it all. Carto's, SS, Cotton, even glass inner tube coils. Getting great wicking, vapor, and best of all taste right now with my hemp wicked dud. Oh, and that's with 100%VG juice.

Big thanks to BJ, and everyone that led the way on this better way to vape.
