Congrats on your Provari purchase, TN_Picker!

I don't know anyone personally who is unhappy with their Provari purchase. It's just a well made, solid mod that works and works and has the amp rating to use just about anything expected to work with VV mods. It won't sub ohm, but who cares?

Yes, it's expensive, but it's a life purchase with service behind the sale. It's one of the few mods that has service department backing years down the road. The service fee table for a Provari is reasonable.

China produces some good mods, but they are generally throwaways when they break. Some have parts sparing available, so you can repair them yourselves, but that's not really widespread.

Do you mean something like this?:
SvoeMesto Provari Cone Piece - Cloud 9 Vaping

I have it, and it fits perfect. Completely flush on the Provari top cap, yet tapers ever so slightly to the diameter of the Kayfun.
I wish it was made in black delrin too...but stainless steel works.

No, I was talking more like the Z-Atty Pro. Where the base/cone are machined out of one piece of steel.

You mean like a Hybrid kit? Such a thing would shave a couple MM off the KF height, which would be useful.

As for achieving a flush look, I think the KF is only about 1MM less in diameter than the ProVari, going by eyeball measurement. I don't use my KF every day, and I think that beauty rings like the new ProVape one are pretty good, I have to look closely to see that the battery tube and topper are not completely flush. If I were using a KF as an ADV device, I might want to buy the SM-ProVari KF ring mentioned by BTD.

As for the Z-Atty Pro, i'm in the market for a new genny, and I want to get a simple, single-wick device with a big deck, like the Zenesis one. But I won't want to use it only on the ProVari. Have you ever seen the universal Z-Atty mounted on a ProVari? Wondering whether it will even work with a ProVari.

The Kayfun and ProVari.....The greatest single expression of De'tente since the Apollo-Soyuz missions...

Can you, or anyone recommend a good build for a kayfun clone (hcigar)? The juice is a tad thick 50/50. I use cotton, but if I get a dry hit, the cotton is toast. Barely get threw a tank before I torch the wick.

Thanks.

This thread is as good an excuse as any to post some bling, my new KFL+ on a ProVari Mini.

I received a Kir Fanis ProVari ring yesterday. It's polished SS with a dimple pattern, and would look especially good with the KFL+, but unfortunately it won't work with this device, unless I can find a way to lower the centre pin (I know it's possible to do this with the Russian 91%, due to that split centre pin, but not sure that the positive block will stay in place if I loosen the KFL+ centre pin).

This is kind of why I am still purchasing HCigar 3.1ES clones. I like the adjustable 510 post on those and the adjustable airflow. I also like the little tray below the deck that captures liquid. I don't care if it makes my mod a little taller.

I am wondering what SvoeMesto has in store for the next "full sized" Kayfun instead of the Lite.....

It will be interesteing what SvoeMesto does as a follow up to the 3.1.

I have an HCigar 3.1 clone, and -- i'm saying this only a couple days after receiving the KFL+ -- i'm not sure I could tell the difference between the two devices in terms of vape quality.

There are a couple things I didn't like about the 3.1 clone, namely leakage during refilling, and how easy it was to cross-thread the plastic tank when reattaching it to the steel rings; both of these nuisances are true of the KFL+, too.

But there's definitely a difference in terms of build quality, and the KFL+ parts just feel more solid. Also, with the 3.1 clone, after washing the device a number of times, i'm seeing rust on the deck and on the terminal blocks, which is not good at all.
