Wow, didn't mean for this to become a run around thread, guys. Sorry!

That last post wasn't directed at you, Rocketpunk...she knows who it was intended for. No need to apologize - you were simply asking a question.

Unfortunately there are a lot of zealots out there. ( Oh, no; I called people zealots - now I'll probably get a bunch of flames for that.) I tried to give you a middle of the road answer, and perhaps made a tongue-in-cheek statement that irked some people.

You can't win when people get overly attached to something - and feel the need to vehemently defend it.

It seems to me that there are a few people that both make derogatory generalized statements and then after they are called out complain about being called out. If you insist on calling improvement a "fad" and deride it as "lazy" and insist that a simplification is more complicated, expect people to dispute you. If they dispute you don't call them zealots, etc. unless you want a response.

Some people want be able to throw stones but complain when others respond.

Yes. The name-calling and personal attacks aren't necessary. No-one is lazy for preferring to use variable watts on a pv. I thought this was done actually. It should be.

Derogatory? Do you even know what that means? Get your facts straight before you attempt to flame somebody - I didn't say it was a fad; someone else did. Lazy, yeah, I said that... 1 out of 2 for you. And call me out on anything - that's why it's an open forum; I express my opinion, if someone doesn't like it, I don't give a rat's behind. 1 out of 3 for you.

All that I've seen you do is pick something out of someones post and turn it into an argument... If that make you feel superior, you need to find a better outlet to vent with.

I only came back to reassure the OP that it wasn't her fault that the thread got out of hand. She was only looking for advice and got a bunch of fanboys (and girls) who turned it into a debate.

And for the other poster - get over your hangup with lazy...

Oh come on.... In this post I said this:

I don't want to do math before I vape something if there's a way not to. If you saw me first thing in the morning you'd get why I prefer watts. Its not that I don't have to use math in my life, but for vaping I use vw over vv. I mean, I have both on the same pv and I know which I prefer.

In this post you said:

Some argue the fact that they don't want to do the math; are we really becoming that lazy?

Calling people lazy is unnecessary. When you later said it wasn't worth arguing over I thought you'd left it. Now your back calling people fanboys and fangirls, and zealots. This is ad hominem.

I prefer using variable watts. I find it convenient, and easier to use. I have both variable volts and variable watts on the same pv - and I am always using the vw option. I'd say 98% of the time. I really like using it for my vape.
With the accuracy that RMS brings I can also compare watts with other vw users across devices. That's something I've been enjoying a bit too.

I come here to be able to discuss these new things, and we should be able to.

I've never seen so much debate over something so simple. FFS pick the one that is right for you already! :) There's so many variables between VV,VW, and all the mirade of carto/tanks/RBAs/etc. So the person that assembled your carto was having an off day, or the machine that made the 1,000,000 carto is off by 0.2mm coil length, etc. That the only way you're going to figure it out is to buy both and test side-by-side. I find it amusing that in all the debate threads on "this-vs-that" that no one has even brought up weather conditions/ambient room temp and/or local air humidiy. :) Argueing on the Net will not acheive much, if anything, imho. I'm beginning to think maybe I should order the PV with the fewest people debating whether or not it's good. Seems to me they are getting more Nic? :)
This is all meant in a friendly, light hearted sense, but flame if you must. :)

This is my last post, so please don't reply as I won't read it - you have pointed to something that the OP was asking for. It was the debate that Junkman was continuing that prompted my original post. That was getting to me. Enough said about that.

And what you quoted by me, did you notice the word "we"? It was meant as a generalization - no specific knock on anybody in particular (and please don't come back with "but you said people who don't like math, and I don't like math"...). It was a basic tongue-in-cheek post, only to highlight to the OP of the volatile responses she's likely to get when posing a question of this nature.

Fine dsy. I just don't get you suddenly coming back and name-calling - basically starting up a flame with unfounded accusations. I don't quite buy your "it was meant as a generalization", but I for one would prefer to move on. I certainly didn't say anything out of hand by simply stating why I prefer variable watts, and that I don't want to do math.

Edit: This has been resolved by PM.

Well, different stuff "gets" to different people. What gets to me is the ongoing claims that VW as a concept is either 1) more complicated when it is the opposite 2) for noobs who can't figure out VV which is ridiculous 3) just the same thing, when it isn't 4) a fad/bandwagon when it is actually a logical evolution and finally 5) people who persist in claiming 1-4 and getting rude about people point out they aren't true.

So, if you have the right to get upset about something, others have the same right to get upset about other things.

The discussion on VV vs. VW is relevant to the OP because one of the differences in the mods is this very thing. People prior to my posting made claims 1-4 when I correct them, they begin the argument and then get rude.

Just realize that if I read a post making claims 1-4 above, I will dispute it, because those claims are just not correct.

I don't care what anyone vapes. I don't have either a provari or a zmax. If I had my choice between the two it would be provari, despite what I consider to be an inferior power control approach.

Just read this post after posting above reply.

Look at what you have posted here. It is incredible. I didn't say each issue applied to you. However, you seriously are going to sit there and type out that I don't know what derogatory means and not think the very statement is derogatory? And you say you can express your opinion but that I "...need to find a better outlet to vent with".

None of this nonsense makes me me feel "superior". Do my posts make you feel inferior? That wasn't my goal.

And I am definitely not a fan boy at all. Look elsewhere for that.
