Way to go Puff2K. I smoked for 59 years and had a pack and a half/day habit. It all ended at noon Nov.20, 2014. I have not had a cigarette since. The craving are still there at times, but it is getting easier by the day. I also started vaping at 24 mg nicotine, and am now down to 3 mg. When I went to my Nautilus mini I went from 24 to 12 that day (the tank made that much difference) worked my way down to 6mg with it. Then got my Kanger Aero Turbo and had to go to 3mg that day.
If you are trying to get off of nicotine, as I am, don't try to come down to quickly. Start with what you are comfortable with, usually around 24 mg for the small 'starter' set-ups, and every 3 to 4 weeks drop down in 3 mg increments.
A few weeks in I developed a cough, but noticed when I 'hacked up a good one' I could actually feel a part of my lungs open back up. It lasted for a week or two, and now I no longer have to breath with my mouth open.
May I suggest Mount Baker Vapor's Extreme Ice? Pretty strong pure menthol taste. I use it whenever the idea of a "flavor" turns me off. If you do order from them, use code 'vaporfrombaker' for 10% off any order. They're very quick and have about a zillion flavors. When and if you want to move on, go to Ahlusion, the absolute best flavors in my opinion (bit more money but so worth it).

Welcome to the world of vaping hope it works for you. Congrats
Welcome!
I had the same issue with coughing. I lowered my nic level a bit and switched to a 30pg/70vg mix and it helped me out tremendously!
I was also a menthol smoker for many years. I still haven't found a menthol that I like. I did find a flavor at my local vape shop called Super Mint that I love! It gives me that menthol "feel". So you might want to give some of the mint flavors a try.
Just don't give up! It can be a process.... Take it a day, hour or minute at a time. Whatever works!
Congratulations on taking the step to quit smoking. I vaped one time and never smoked again after 32 years. My advice would be to throw away any cigarettes you have left around. Every person who I've seen fail to quit with vapeing failed because they kept smoking just a few or even just one smokes a day. They either still smoke and now vape too or they just eventually stopped vapeing and went back to full time smoking. I was given this same advice and tossed all my tobacco. It made it so much easier to stick with vapeing. Every time I wanted a smoke I vaped. That first week I think I had a vape hanging out of my mouth 16-20 hours a day but I did it. Good luck!
Hiya Puff! I found that the higher pg mix's messed with me, high nic/pg was rough. but juice is like coffee, some people make coffee that will wake the dead, others make a nice mellow brew. I started with an 18 m nic level & 80 pg mix. Hard on me, I smoked menth alot and found some juice to be overloaded, so I sorta blended my flavors. Then my good friend Burnie gave me a small bottle of Artic wolf. Blew my head off! I learned that one drop of wolf in a 1.5 ml tank mixed with a hi vg true tobbaco from North west vapor was a good mix for me. I will suggest that you toss the rolls and save the tobacco until you can learn how to make your own juice, then brew your own. Get off the smokes and give your body time to adjust from all the junk. You got to get rid of the garbage in your system. Good to hear that the cigs taste nasty cause that shows your taste bubs are coming back to life. I found a strange thing that I notice some of my tobacco flavors now have a slightly sweet taste. Well hang in there and best of luck. Oh almost forgot to mention information overload, just keep talking with everyone and befor long you start understanding the lingo. In the beginning I couldn't figure out half the advice I was given but it started to make sence befor long. I still get lost sometimes, so I just kinda roll with the flow until it sinks it. When it gets to be too much I just go over the the back porch in the "Lounge" sec at just BS with other vapors. It's kinda like the big party after Mid- terms Leave off studying and enjoy the company, enjoy life, get goofy and laugh.
