Take some anti-inflamatory otc meds. It will help the swelling go down. Ibprofin is good but there are others. Also, the aleve liquid gels will help with that and have a pain reliever in them. They worked wonders with helping the swelling of my mouth during my dental procedures and as it turns out have helped the 'little' other things that as we age get to us. e.g. I used to have to work at getting my hands to move when waking up. They always needed rubbing and had pain before I could work the stiffness out. Now, it is gone. Might be worth looking into. I had my dr prescribe the 800 ml ibprofin cause taking 4 of the over the counter ones just didn't do as good a job for some reason. And you won't have to take as many pills, which I absolutely hate to do.
