My protank was sucking so much air in it was virtually useless. After trying what others had tried with tape and toothpicks in the air holes around the edge, I still wasn't happy or satisfied. What I did was unscrew the tank completely , and from the bottom stuck a tooth pick in the main air hole in the middle and broke it off, now it hits just the way I like it , about like a vision clearomizer.
Now if i'll be able to ever get it out I don't know (or care) long as it's working. I don't know about the safety factor, if it could short something if it were to get damp or what not, all I know is now my $20 tank is now at least useable.
If you were like me and totally unsatisfied with the protank, might be worth a shot before you toss it

looks like what I needed , you are the first to mention it (that I've seen} May invest in one but if this toothpick keeps on working like it's working, i'm in no hurry. I really like the pro tank 2 the look and feel of it, now I like the way it vapes

There's nothing wrong with redneck engineering.

FWIW, the Evod and MT3S are two other BCC systems from Kanger that I use a lot. I also picked up a SmokTech Aro BCC, which is similar in style and performance to the MT3S. They are slightly less airy than the PT2 and noticeably less so than the original PT. The Evod and MT3S systems are polycarb tanks while the Aro is borosilicate glass.

went ahead and ordered one, I needed a 510 /ego adapter to use on my v3 Vamo which is in the mail! so I went ahead and got the airflow controller. I looked at all the sites I usually shop and browse and they are sold out EVERYWHERE except the place you linked to. I think kanger teamed up with the guys that make the airflow controller because I'm sure it boosted sales
