There is a thread on here somewhere that offered some suggestions to restrict the airflow, some have replaced the PoTank atomizer with an evod atty, (the bottom gaskets are of differing size so either you have to shave, change or try hit and miss on the fit), some have restricted one or two air flow holes, (this may cause problems in itself as the wicks become more saturated you will have to open them up again), and some have added a third flavor wick and/or trimming the plastic atty cap to allow more flow into the atty...I will try to locate the thread...I myself just let the wicks break in and when I created a wire lanyard that used the air pass throughs it inadvertently restricted the airflow a bit and brought the draw into line.

Here is the thread Gurgling Protank, it originally started out as a thread on other issues, but the airy draw is addressed here too....

Aside from the airy draw it performs really well. Takes a tank to lose its " new" taste. Volumes of vapor. No leaks or gurgles.

I've already rebuilt a head with my natural wick. Stiffened the draw a bit. Initially did standard length wick from side to side of atomizer base but, that seemed to restrict the air exchange in the tank. Which led to poor wick performance. I then cut the ends of the wick right to the edge of the opening. Working very well now. Nice bubbles.
With my rebuilt head I'm loving it. With the standard head it was just okay.

I officially love my ProTank after rebuilding the head. Volumes of flavorful vapor. Wicked to the last drop.

NOW pulls very similar to the EVOD. Still slightly more airy but, not like it was with the stock head. Still think the huge main tube was a mistake.

Noisy little thing when you draw.

32g/6 wrap . toothpick. 2.3ohms( little off I know whatever) 1mm hemp twine. 1 piece through the coil. 1 piece over, slight UN twist to flatten and cover more area of the coil. Enjoy...
