I nearly ordered a third (and fourth) until I remembered that I figured out how to rebuild them.

well when my pre-ordered two show up AFTER this one I'll have 3...

just the easiest to rebuild right?

think I might try squeezing another wick under the coil to see how it reacts... that's what is so nice about the design. it uses the inner and outer heating surface of the coil.

One over, one through, one under...

maybe try it on an EVOD head tomorrow..

I have been happy with both of mine. I haven't touched a Vivi, Drunker or Dream tank since they came in the mail. Even Chevas gives two paws up for it!

I hope I don't jinx it by posting this, but I think I may have solved my gurgling problem. I pulled the plastic cup above the coil higher, so it makes better contact with the outside tube and it seems to have stopped the liquid seeping in. I keep testing it with cold draws and I'm not hearing gurgles. Maybe the cap got pushed down when I screwed the bottom back on after refilling? It looks so purdy, I really want it to work.1

It sounds like it has the same issues as the BCC Mega. That part you described and getting the voltage in the sweet spot is the key. I find all BC's are susceptible to low voltage though.

I have no experience with the BCC Mega. I'm not sure what you mean. They gurgle at low voltage?

Indeed. I remove the top wick (with all the wicks in you get the dry hits). Then I adjust the rubber cap up a bit. Then when I screw the pieces together, the cap is pressed down by the top piece. I think the ProTank has this same configuration, still waiting on mine. If I have the voltage too low, it floods and juice gets pulled up the center post. If I have the rubber cap too low it can travel up the space between the metal posts. Then the gurgles start in either case.

It's the draw talk and the gurgle posts that make me procrastinate. My Vision Vivi Nova is great, but sometimes it's aggravating and I have to pull out the little insulator around the coil and throw it away to restore the vape. It's Far East shoddy QC, IMO. I want the Protank to be defect free by the time I order one.

It's funny you say that. The first version of the vivi nova didn't have that little foam cup in there, the coil would short out if you didn't check it after you put a new head on. So that was one of their improvements in the 2.5 version.

That sounds like it - the gurgling part. I haven't gotten any dry hits, but I'll try removing the wicks if I do. I was surprised at the recommendations for voltage that came with it from Kanger. They suggest 3.9-4.2v for 2.4-2.6Ω heads, which seems a little low to me, but someone told me that bottom coils like less power. I would imagine Kanger knows their own product, so I'm playing around, but generally keeping it under 7w.

Oh look! She understands how to convert to watts! (This snarky remark is not directed at lions, or anyone specifically for that matter.)
