It can't really be clearer.
And the reason it can't be clearer is because what dr g said is100% wrong. Evolv did not change the definition of power. It means the same thing on the DNA40 as it always has.

Now I'm wondering if you have actually used a DNA40.
Automatic dynamic power control is an entirely new ballgame from the fixed power we used before.
Nobody -- nobody -- that has ever used a DNA40 can say watts work the same way.
This last bit is still wrong. "Watts" continue to work the same way. That is, power means exactly the same thing it did before. The fact that it can scale down does not change that meaning.
I understand what you wanted to say now, but you're not saying it right. And it doesn't help your cause to be rude when people ask nicely for clarification.
hahaha, well that gave me a chuckle. Does that mean water boils at different temperatures depending on what pot you have it in?
You as outside observers may have missed that, but it is incumbent on you to understand the conversation you enter into. What I said is concise and as you note, completely correct.
BTW it should be noted that the only meaningful way that a value is attached to wattage in fixed power vaping is by the board setting, so your objections are disingenuous as well.
I hope you won't think I'm being disingenuous when I say: I don't really understand your point here.
"Wattage does not mean the same thing in a temperature controlled application."
No, it means that you can boil water with a blowtorch at 3000 degrees, a campfire at 1500 degrees, or a stovetop burner at 600 degrees
I don't have one of these tanks, I joined this thread to decide if I wanted one (I have a soft spot for Kanger stuff) The work around is to turn up the temperature. At least that's what I'm understanding.
Thinking about it. I want a really small DNA40 device and a cheap small topper for out-and-about duty (I cant afford another Flask if I mess this one up) but I'll probably wait a little long. Especially after hearing that Brandon is heading to China to help with R&D....at least that's what I hope he's doing.
How do you turn it off? I am hoping my brand new Vapor Shark's has the latest upgrades...
Evolv understands there are refinement issues with some devices, otherwise they wouldn't have modified their latest version with the option to turn it off. (yeah, yeah, we know, you think that was done to appease Busardo and all the rest of us crybabies who would like to have an accurate temperature at the coil)

Sorry, I goofed the quote...
I heard, but I don't remember.
Didn't I read ya just got your rDNA like yesterday? Vapor Shark announced the change starting March 20, 2014... If so I'd be surprised if it had the newest board unless you ordered it from them after March 20.... hold up/down buttons at the same time..
