Then again this may sound like overkill 'less you're a tab vaper but some of you may be surprised.

Its not overkill at all once you've sat down and wasted your time rewicking then get a off or burnt taste from that rewicked coil. Same thing with orings..they have to be removed, cleaned and the groove cleaned also to ensure a good seal. If you can spin the glass then the seal has been compromised with juice getting behind so it could leak from loosing its vacuum. The driptip orings can get sloppy and loose fitting from juice softening them so they don't seem to snap into place onto the atty like they use to. Boil some water then toss the orings in and stir off the heat and let them sit for a while, air dry and they again snap back into place. Getting the driptip oring out can be a chore without damage but with the right tool(dental pick) they come out rather easy.
I'm not sure what "tab vaper" is either.

Def meant tobacco, sorry. Altho fond of Tab as a kid, I like mine neat most days.

Good luck all :)
Never did like tab...Rc cola was my preferred. And I still see it sometimes in the grocery store, but usually don't pick it up. I wonder if it would taste the same? Guess I will have to find out.

LOL

Prolly better than you remember, mebe.

I found the cheapest Winn-Dixie (down here) Old Style Root Beer tastes just like the candy sample in the toy doctor's kit every kid had back in the day. Love it. Most of the popular so called root beer to me now taste like they're loaded with chemicals. About the biggest drawback to vaping I've found is just how many kinds of foods I find totally repulsive. So eating better and fresher these days (an unintended but time consuming consequence).

Good luck! Gotta run, fire alarm.

:)

p.s. Just another over-zealous breakfast cook once again. A recurring inconvenience of living on the beach with a view. Keeps you on your toes tho.

My grandfather was VERY overweight and, as a kid, I always thought it was so funny that he only drank Tab. And it must have been addictive or something because he like always had one in his hand.

My Aunt used to drink Tab when I was a Kid. She must have Really Liked It because she always seemed Very Happy when she would Drink One.

It wasn't till later, when I was Older, and I accidentally picked up her Glass and took a sip that I realized that it had a Big Glug of Vodka in it.

LOL

I ordered one of those Toptank Kits from Fasttech on 6/20 and received it yesterday 6/26. New record delivery time from FT.

Not sure if FT has done something Different? Or if they are trying to get Orders out Faster due to the potential e-Cigarette Tariffs that have been purposed?

But my last 2 FT Orders came VERY Fast.

These aspire glass inserts are the cats azz for the toptank. Way thicker than the stock glass and hold a couple mls more. They are well worth the investment.

I used one Today.

Am using mine while reading & typing this post!:)

Of course I have several tanks now that are better, still like a couple of e-juices with the STM. I don't have to vape everything at 50-85W (the latter my limit).:D

While there's been many advancements in tanks, coils & DIY RTA/RDA, doesn't mean the older is still of no use, in fact still have quite a few of the Kanger tanks before STM. There was the Protank (& Mini), to include V2 & dual core V3, plus the single core for eGo batteries which were 3 for $10 on some sites (where I began in late 2013:)). I still like these when trying a small sample batch of DIY e-juice.

My reasoning being, I don't vape or make e-juices for cloud chasing, rather for flavor. Some of these 'oldie-goldie' tanks are perfect for this, especially when the coils has been rebuilt for the purpose. Many of these coils muted the flavor even in those days out of the box, so chose silica for single core slim Kanger tanks, just burned off & rewicked the coil of the STM a couple of hours ago. Tastes better than when new, plus with the coil being horizontal rather than vertical, uses less e-juice.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for the Subtank Mini, it was the big thing when I got a 'real' setup, along with two Efest 100W iStick mods, purchased three. One STM still sealed in the box after all of these years, with two in use, likely will remain there for as many years to come.:)

My entire vape journey has had kanger involved. The clearos didn't last long once I found out there is much better out there. Protank was what I learnt to build then just expanded from there, T3 was a brief sidetrack but back to the PT for a couple years for 2 vapers. Kayfun showed me lower ohm...more build room and learned how to wick with no leaking. Been with the STM for 3 years now and no need to look for anything else for a daily atty, add rayon into the mix along with DIY juice and the STM been the perfect atty for our needs.
Won a toptank mini in a contest last summer and in hindsight the money spent on my hoard of STM and its parts I woulda spent on the toptank instead, not having to break the atty to refill is much superior and they use the same RBA.

Thinking back it's amazing how fast new attys were needed until the SubTank.
I did get a hoard of gennies around ProTanks but since SubTanks anything else wasn't searching for vast improvements.

Yeah... I to have a Special Place in my heart for the STM.

Because that was for me the First RTA where the RBA really seemed to Work well. And something that became the Main part of my Atomizer Rotation.

Not a very Flashy RTA. More like a Craftsman 1/2" Wrench. But it just like that wrench, something that worked Every Time.

For the last 24hrs I've been vaping on a TopTank almost exclusively to apples to apples test the battery run time on the Aegis Legend. If this was the last tank ever made I could be happy with it.
TFV4s (about half my long term in use hoard were those, the other half Kanger) were just for the top fill.
New ones, Scion II with the Scion RTA does kick out some flavor (that's the other one I've vaped in the last 24hrs).
Themis mesh, top airflow should solve any leaking problems and be easy to build.

From my view of not trying everything that has come out over the years to have hands on comparisons STM was the giant leap forward. I think top flow air may be the next and even that isn't as big as ST was.
ST was delivering flavor, vapor and nicotine reliably to levels that can't see big improvements.
